How to Make a Third Person Shooter Game in Unreal Engine 5 - Full Beginner Course

Can this shooting system be used for multiple weapons? How would you separate the shooting code, so that it can be used by independent weapons? The issue I am having is that the left click button event is always running code the prevents other weapons from operating independently.

Can you do this in ue4?

Any idea why retargetting might not work? I brought in a model and it made a Unreal skeleton for it but can't get the animations on it.

I kinda messed up my placement of my rifle it’s aiming down a little too much I didn’t notice it at first until a little while later into the tutorial. How do I go back and re adjust the weapons placement so the rifle is aiming upwards a little more ? And great tutorial btw .

Wouldn’t do that AI health on event tick. Use a timer, or even better only update it’s health bar when you actually hit him or when it get hit by what ever. It’s a very bad idea and practise to use event tick for such things. Use a messaging system or event timer for it.

how do i make my line trace for shooting come from the camera and not the gun? i have a reticle set up and my shots dont travel to the centre of the screen when the line trace comes from my gun?

Does that mean I don't need to do any work up to that point? Up until then I kind of understood what you were talking about, like making ue4's into ue5's, but making ue5's into ue4's from the character change after 20 minutes? I'm getting confused...

Hi Gorka, at first, nice Video you have made everything understandable and so on. But I have one problem. I followed all your instructions but the shooting in pitch is not really working. if I look up and down while shooting the shots aren`t going to the crosshair anymore. They are just going up and down a little bit but definately not where the shots are meant to go. Can you probably help me out?
