I love this spice drawer idea! I went out and bought the products at the dollar store and did it! It came out great. I used 2.5 inches in between because I had a deeper drawer. I wish I could show you. It turned out professionally!

My spice shelf is short so I used tee-niney black glass beads from Walmart. They are smaller and kinda make a cool sound. They were about $3 and it was enough for 3 “lazy susans” (and have a ton left for more OR another project). Note: these beads aren’t perfectly spherical, but I think that’s bonus (due to sound and they don’t just keep spinning) plus... SO much cheaper!

I got SO tired of the spices falling out of my cabinet, especially since I BOUGHT a shelf style organizer, &had already BOUGHT & tried the kind you screw to the inside of the doors (half didn’t fit), AND had bought & tried one that hangs on the wall AND one that sits on the counter. I just never thought of putting them in the drawer. I followed your directions and made one to custom fit. My cuts were not quite as neat as yours so, I hot glued shelf liner on it. Contact paper would have worked but the shelf liner was on hand, has a ‘bumpy’ texture that I like AND it matches the rest of my shelves & drawers! I’m so happy with the finished product! I absolutely love your channel!! Thanks!!

Great ideas

I made a spice drawer with 3 pieces of wood and small nails. It’s amazing. I wish I could post photo!!!
Wood is 1.5 tall x 3/4 thick & 11.5 wide ( width of my drawer)
1️⃣ board secured at 3 1/2 from front. 2️⃣ 3 5/8 from first board…3️⃣ 3 5/8
I did pre-drill holes from outside of drawer sides then tapped in small 1” nails also added wood glue on bottom of wood dividers . Spices rest on wood boards at angle. Spices fit amazing you clearly see all fronts easily accessible. fits different size spices. I have square organic jars , round McCormick jars and even tall grinders. I get 3 rows of 6 spices and a 6” compartment in the back for other odd size spices that are still very easy to reach.

Cost was $0.00 I had scrap 1/2 pine in garage and it matches the inside of drawers

I tackled it. I made the spice rack from my son‘s remnant poster board project. And it turned out great. I only did half the drawer so that I could put other items on the other side and it works great!!! Thanks for all you do:)

Wow! I am amazed at that trick you did! Just amazingly creative and so smart. And I love that you encouraged us that it does not have to be perfectly precise in order for it to work. If I had that kind of drawer, I'd for sure do this. Very creative!

Such a great idea! Be careful, though. Measure the depth of the drawer with your spice jars/containers along with the raise very carefully or you might end up with what I had. The drawer could not close with some of the larger spice jars. I was able to recut to save it.

Measurements? Do I cut boards at 5 inch widths and a score at 3.5?

This is perfect thank you thank you thank you I wanted one on Amazon but it is 45 to 60 bux n for year now I couldn't do it I couldn't spend that much on something... Then I saw a video where they did it with wood but had every fancy tool to do that project and the wood just laying around not me lol....I love dollar tree so this is win win and in my perfect price range my life is dollar tree yard sales n thrift stores 99 percent of what's in my house is from those places... I can't stand buying new when I can get it for great price thanks again ❤️

i used the stove eye covers to make a lazy suzan. My store kept being out of any type of marbles or glass beads for weeks and weeks. I finally went online and bought a whole container of copper BBs, y'know the kind for shooting practice with BB guns. They are really heavy but really round and small. I bought two sets of Stove covers because they have one large and one small. I took to the two large ones, filled one halfway with copper BB's and set the 2nd Large one on top. I use it in my cup cabinet for tall cups, because if you want the cup behind, it doesn't fit above the others, so just turn the suzey to get what you want.

The two small stove covers , I did the same but it is on my desk. I then took the art paintbrush/pencil holder ( tall and round with lots of holes) and used tacky to stick it inside the top stove cover, so now I have a pencil caddy that spins.

So I just realized you can make every single cut hinged and, other than gluing the hinges underneath if you want, it might even just slide right in and hold itself together if flush to the back😮

I can’t get a bottle of spice without two additional ones falling out and onto my counter. I really need to do something like this.

Cover it with some cheap dollar-store contact paper, wrapping paper, or shelf liner and it would be a lot less ugly! You could use glue sticks to attach the paper or just use more hot glue to attach the shelf liner. Not only would this class up what is a pretty clever hack, but the shelf liner would protect the foam board since the non-perforated kind is waterproof, and make it wipeable and increasing longevity. Cool idea!
