max damage is good but most biggest issue is car physics/car handling and damage balance, and extremely dumb Ai and lots of small bugs what making game feels like that im not want to play that game again.

I had this game on iOS circa ‘99 or so. That was my favorite version, prone to crashing my Bondi Blue iMac for no good reason. Digging around for cheat codes and hacks was a blast. I’m still playing the game, (modern version) from the App Store on my Mac. It’s not as fun but at least some of the glitches are still in it. Wish I could operate in Pinball Mode more often.

I remember making cars and maps for C2, some of the most fun I had in gaming.

Never played any of them except carmageddon 2 back in 98-99. The missions were so much fun, and the upgrades added replay value. I wanna play it again, but I'm on a stupid Mac.

Man, I wish they (re)made a Carmageddon 1 game with more cars, tracks/levels and maybe some level creator/builder, I still absolutely enjoy this game.

One of my all-time greatest bits of "how the hell did they do that?" game technology was the car body deformation and detachable body panels in Carmageddon 1 and 2. This was at a time when other car games didn't even have scratchable paintwork, but here's this weird blood-splattered novelty game with absolute top-tier driving physics for the time and an industry-first solid body deformation system. People tend to remember these games for their shock value and how upset they made politicians and concerned parents groups, and far too often the incredible technology on display gets ignored. Stainless did absolutely incredible work and they deserve more credit for pushing games technology forward.

i remember playing this game back in 97 just the trial version on my compaq deskpro 2000 P1 166mhz 16 mo of ram 2gb hard drive and a 2 mo sis gpu,who remember MDK, oddworld escape...memories

I so wish they would just make a sensible (ironic isn't it) Armageddon some day. TDR 2000 was the best for me.

Thanks to Carmageddon, I drive extremely carefully. I've seen enough of an accident in this particular game.
PS I still periodically play the iOS version.

C2 was the best. I played it so much that i have everything unlocked. Great game!

-Carmageddon 2 obvious,ultra realistic crash physics that your car can split in half and 3d gore
-Carmageddon reincarnation,the gore and damage is increased
-Carmageddon max damage,the gore and damage is increased
Bonus:
-carmageddon tdr 2000,the crash physics is decreases but i love the engine sounds
-carmageddon 1,obvious,the first carmageddon,brutal and violent

1 and 2 and tdr 2000 are the best. Sadly they went backwards edit after those games. Like even the newest is a down grade but graphics I'm still rather play the old ones though that's for sure

this is the first game franchise in my memory in which all the games are good, even new ones, for me personally. I fucking love carmageddon

Loved the music of Maximum Sexy Pigeon in ReIncarnation.

The adaptation for Android was a great surprise, I still reinstall it sometimes.

I have the original Carmageddon on CD still :) I couldn't count the amount of hours i spent just mowing down pedestrians and exploring every crevace of the maps !

IT seems to me that the worst graphics are the splat pack fro Carmageddon, the low resolution of the vanilla game forgave a multitude of sins.
