I appreciate this discussion with Franchesca!! I followed her years ago. She's definitely an OG content creator. As an intermediate nature and wildlife photographer and educator, I don't post my family members or relationship status.
Sadly, I've seen several women who monetized or publicized their marriage or romantic relationships not end well. A lot of those relationships have ended in the last several years. In a world where so many people want access to EVERYTHING in your life, it's important to keep some aspects of your life to yourself.
Literally stopping everything and starting Wins Jar NOW
ОтветитьThe ultimate race-baiter, hope she finds the maturity she needs.
ОтветитьWhoa! I haven’t seen her since 2012 but I remember watching that video over and over again in middle school. It was truly one of the biggest videos online at the time and changed that whole trend of parody videos
ОтветитьOh no. Francesca has alopecia now.
: (
I'm conflicted about Francesca - I didn't like her race-baiting content, but overall she seems to have a good heart.
ОтветитьMy fave episode so far
ОтветитьWhat's so strange about Midtown East?? 😅
ОтветитьI loved this conversation so much especially as someone who is learning to think about themselves as a creative. I want to be plugged in (to social media) but not so much that it negatively impacts me. Franchesca has given me so much to think about. And, the older I get the value I see in a pre-nup and having the hard discussions up front to save potential headache down the road.
ОтветитьBest episode of TFD
ОтветитьIt’s always really strange to me when people say we have separate accounts. It’s like cool, if you didn’t feel the need to combine accounts, keep things the same, but that doesn’t protect you. The law sees you as a financial unit, that includes debt as well.
ОтветитьAll these spam comments should be deleted. They are bad for your brand. It makes it seem like you are willing to sacrifice the viewer’s experience for fake engagement.
ОтветитьI knew she'd eventually divorce her white husband. She'd have to if she wanted to still be considered part of "the culture"...
ОтветитьReally loved this conversation!! I did find myself having a really hard time following Chelsea's questions at times. It seems they are often layered and confusing to follow? Is that just me?
ОтветитьOh, this is soooo good!
ОтветитьFFFFFranchescaaaaa
RRRRRamseyyyyy
Perfect timing as I'm going through a divorce right now! He got nasty FAST, which helped me realize all of the red flags I ignored earlier on and feel more validated that divorce is the only right move for us. Thank you so much for this discussion!
Ответитьreminds me of albin in wonderland times
ОтветитьSuch a captivating and smart guest!
ОтветитьOmg this interview was AMAZING! I wish her luck in her future endeavors. She was speaking big girl chat that transcended her career & divorce.
ОтветитьThis was a phenomenal interview all around. Francesca is super thoughtful and Chelsea was totally plugged in. I felt like I was overhearing a great brunch conversation. Thank you for sharing ❤
ОтветитьGetting a prenup is incredibly expensive and unattainable for most people. It’s a great document to have but it’s also elitist because of how unattainable it can be to most people who don’t make over a certain amount of money.
ОтветитьReally great conversation 👏🏻
ОтветитьThis woman is delightful 💖
ОтветитьImagine 28 being “later in life”
Ответитьwait, i went looking fort he Eve Rodsky episode and couldn't find it, could you drop a link please?
ОтветитьI've been married two and a half years; I make significantly more than my husband - can't imagine ever getting divorced. We did a pre-nup anyway, but all it does is set out the assets we both brought into the marriage. I just assume should the worst happen we would split the assets accumulated during marriage 50/50 (despite the higher financial contributions I made) as that's fair. I really don't understand the concept of alimony for a spouse that has never given up work during the marriage / no kids / etc. Child support is obvious to me, but alimony should be very specific and not standard in my opinion - rather than just splitting the assets accumulated.
ОтветитьAmazing interview. Few years ago and even now, I got caught up in the comparison game and I should be further along in my career and looking at someone who I secretly didn’t like. Man! Took some serious self talk and help to get me out of that head space! Bravo 👏🏾 and welcome to getting to a better place.
ОтветитьYou both are so emotionally articulate and it's really inspiring and wonderful to share in ❤️
ОтветитьThis episode was so beautiful and insightful! I enjoyed every part of the conversation
Ответитьheyy where can i find the episode where you interviewed eve rodsky from fair play?
ОтветитьFranchesca is like a internet big sister to me. I watched her when she did content on Locs and she inspired me to be natural
ОтветитьExtremely insightful conversation. A couple of takeaways that I’d like to try out personally:
- A contract with yourself to measure progress on your goals and be able to define what success looks like for you.
- When you’re in a heated argument with a loved one reiterate what the other person is saying and then respond.
- Role play conversations and have one liners ready for questions you are not comfortable answering
Chelsea! I want that blouse!
ОтветитьI didn't know who Francesca was before this. This talk really took a really narcissistic turn when they started talking about divorce.
ОтветитьI’ve been a fan of Franchesca’s for ages (even back to the Livejournal days), it’s been amazing seeing her growth both career-wise and personally. Can’t wait to listen to the rest of this ❤️
ОтветитьThis was one of the best episodes ever. What an incredible guest. Thanks Chelsea!
ОтветитьThis is a really important conversation in my perspective
ОтветитьI found Chescaleigh for her amazing loc hair care content, very rare at that time. I too now rock a short cut and have gone through my own trails and conquers that included therapy. I love her continued glow up and willingness to share parts of her journey. Thanks TFD
ОтветитьDream collab 😍
ОтветитьVery honest.
ОтветитьHey, i have some content upgrade ideas for "The Financial Diet" and I tried finding your email, but can't get it.
ОтветитьOooh, Chelsea-- don't say "manifest". Manifesting is not a thing. Too many people go down the magical thinking rabbit hole. Ambition and hard work, meeting people and taking chances will bring you whatever life brings. It may or may not be success, or not the level of success that you imagine for yourself. But please don't make people buy into that "manifesting" crap. I've known people who manifested their way into losing their housing and more, thinking "the Universe" was going to come through with the rent if they just kept believing.
ОтветитьThe laws of divorce depend on where you live. Generally, in California, your wages/ earnings during marriage are considered jointly owned.
ОтветитьHow long until Chelsea files for divorce?
ОтветитьThis is truly one of the most complete episodes. ♥♥ Having someone in this such a great mental state is something I wish I had when I was going through my divorce. Happy now, because of therapy, and the best group of girlfriends.
