Cheating on your wife is a very controllable impulse and a relationship killing behavior.
Ответитьomg you're so conceited) and all your advice is water
Ответить"Everything in moderation" was my grandma's life motto. She said it often.
ОтветитьI agree on everything except the cheating example. You don’t hurt anyone by eating a piece of cake or skipping a gym session. But you immensely hurt someone by cheating, and therefore you ARE a terrible person. We’re not animals, we can control instinct if we know we’re gonna hurt others. Otherwise you could even justify pedos for taking actions. I’m not putting it on the same plate, i’m just talking about instinct control.
ОтветитьOne important life lesson repeatedly demonstrated in all of your videos is not to take yourself too seriously. It reduces stress and increases likeability.
ОтветитьDid we just go into Robert Sapolsky Sam Harris town
Ответить“Shouldn’t have smoked that crack”. 😂
Ответитьthank you mark, that was pretty helpful
Ответить"The optimal behaviour is in the middle." Another great life lesson, Mark. Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьNot drinking at all is the healthiest thing, actually. Alcohol is literally poison.
Our body can deal with little amounts of poison, but there is no middle point between drinking it or not in terms of what's good for your health.
Mr Manson. Please explain to me how me quitting drinking 105 days ago is unhealthy. That's literally an insane thing to say
ОтветитьAbstaining from alcohol is not the healthiest thing to do? 🙃 eh ...what research shows that that is correct?
Ответитьam sorry mark, but I disagree with the shit u just said
ОтветитьMark, do you ever get demonetized for dropping the F bomb a lot.?
ОтветитьOmg you are so close to 1M subscribers <3
ОтветитьMark I lost count on how many times you made me laugh on this subscription thing every time I focus and expect you are going to say something important then you start advertising it's so funny 😅
ОтветитьNow that's some realistic sh!t 🖤
ОтветитьIn what sense is abstaining from alcohol not the best thing to do? Socially or physical?
According to Google:
"If you're in good shape, moderate drinking makes you 25% to 40% less likely to have a heart attack, stroke, or hardened arteries."
The problem in this phrase is that you're not at all likely to have heart disease if you're in good shape. I think I continue to believe there ain't no benefits to drinking.
Ayo Mark please make a video/reel of you playing your guitar 😂
ОтветитьIve tried to be perfect at everything. Between people pleasing and wanting attention, I may work extremely hard at everything to be noticed or to feel important. When I fail, these crisises occur even if I know failure is necessary to grow. Some days, if I fail at something I really care about, it could knock me down entirely. Some times failure also is the fear of possibly never having the same chance again. Im working on it, but its always been something I've struggled with and the pressure I put onto myself is insane
ОтветитьGood ideas, thanks!
Ответитьwell, i wouldnt consider myself a perfectionist, i kinda was as a kid, but now that im a fucked up lost adult im definitely taking the easy way out and telling myself "well, whatever. didnt try that hard anyways so ill just give up" and damn, i didnt realize how much that aspect of my life has been fucked. i need discipline
ОтветитьI don't believe that anyone holds the "harsh truth", just "harsh opinions". Not even the best randomised studies can't say anything definitely, but they can point towards the truth. Just my opinion 😉
ОтветитьJust found your channel. Love this! I let go of being a perfectionist this week, dunno just had a eureka moment. Feels good, I laugh at myself instead of being uptight. I love the optimisation idea :) thanks!
ОтветитьI love your program , but why do you use “fuck” all the time ?
ОтветитьMy dog watched this video now he is a lion !
ОтветитьHold on... if you actually cheat - for whatever reason - you ARE actually evil 😂... there is no excuse man 😅😅😅
Ответитьit took me a surprisingly long time to realize I was struggling with an all or nothing mentality. in my case, failure was like anecdotal evidence that I can't do something, and I had to get tired of being comfortable with my excuses in order to change.
ОтветитьJocko Willink would disagree 😅...
ОтветитьMark Manson needs a comedy special LOL
ОтветитьI really needed this Mark, I've been self sabotaging me a lot due to this behavior and I get stuck in a loop every time......but NOT ANYMORE, I AM GONNA FUCKING KICK PEFECTIONISM OUT OF MY LIFE........Thanks a lot buddy
ОтветитьWhere on earth does he get those stock videos and images from 😂, ever saying is perfectly exhibited with perfect imagery
ОтветитьYes. Thank you! No such thing as perfection. Not with humans.
ОтветитьAnd stop saying “perfect.”
ОтветитьConsidering I’ve been striving for perfection my entire life and not reacting well to situations that end up less than perfect, this helps me realize that nothing has to be perfect in order for it to be perfect. But what about the insane fears we all have of a partner leaving us, being replaced, or just failing at everything? I’ve read The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck and I’ve gotten half way through the book. I still struggle with those fears of being inadequate and people leaving. What is your answer to this problem, Mark? Do I ride it out and let every fear run its course?
ОтветитьYou just fixed my entire life
ОтветитьAs a person who has to work at 6am, i usually get up at 430am🤦♂️
ОтветитьImagination is the problem aswell.
ОтветитьI clicked it🤣🤣
ОтветитьI'm glad I came here. Thanks
ОтветитьHa amazing 👏 😂
Ответить❤❤
ОтветитьThings can be perfect but people can't. Things I mean inanimated objects.
