Swamiji I heard from people that Valmiki Ji was a shudra, hence they don't believe in Valmiki Ji's Ramayana is not the correct version instead Tulsidas Ji is the one who has written the epic Ramayana.

The biggest difference is that Valmiki Ramayan was written in 11th century and Tulsi Ramayan was written in the Mughal era during Bhakti movement between 15 and 16th century, Also Valmiki ramayan was written in Sanskrit and Ramcharit manas was written in Avadhi.
