What kills me every time and I only make it a few days is the one screwup. My last game I literally killed 100 zombies, then I had one banging on the door to my base. I went to kill him same as all the others, I SLIGHTLY mis click so my push goes diagonal instead of right into him, he bites my hand, I'm infected, GG game over. Sigh. Normally I think games are too easy but Id like a slightly less hardcore version, like you play as one of the few people immune to the virus so you can still die to damage but you don't get fucked due to one little bite. Is there a mod for that? I just hate one small mistake start over gameplay.

When ever I open a door without a clear view from the outside I always press E really quickly twice. But still have to be careful if they are hiding around the corner.

As of writing this comment I managed to survive till day 3 and die of sickness instead of zombies.

Dunno bulgrer is good not becose you can start a car, but becose u start with 2 points in nimble imo

Zombies being drawn to player-built structures is ridiculous. Is this a setting that can be altered?

Survived past a week for my first time today, I started luring a zombie inside a house to get it away from other zombies to kill it and inside the house were like 4 zombies just waiting for me to open the door. I see them but it’s to late im already inside the house so I run up stairs and there’s more zombies. I literally just sat back in my chair and just watched my boy get eaten alive and zombified right before my eyes. One of the best gaming experience ever ngl!

The Hardest traits to level up in order are: Fitness > Nimble > Strength > Maintenance
It is wise to not start with less than 5 fitness. Having a perk that gives you bonus nimble like Burglar is a good thing.
If you can stay inside homes in the early game, make good use of the Life and Living channel to get bonus EXP for Carpentry, Foraging, Fishing, Trapping and Cooking.

For dealong with endurance; simply sitring on the ground, or resting on furniture will replenish. However, i have found out that both effe ts stack with each other. Therefore, one should sit down, and rest through the right+click menu when recovering stamina.

I always like to play as myself and take Traits that match up to who I am as a person. Makes me more invested in my character whenever I play.

I really wish people would stop recommending Slow Reader to newbies. It's important to get some books in during that first week, with the TV shows, and that early time is precious all around for so many reasons - and you waste so much of it by doing that reading with slow reader. Yeah, yeah, you can fast forward time in solo. That saves real life time but game time keeps progressing, and, again, that's precious. Slow Reader is a trap for new players.
