Just curious if anyone in the comments Had or Has one of the early 2000's American Fender P-Bass "Standard" Series.. Or if you don't own one maybe remember playing one?? The American Fender Jazz Standard Series is what I believe I had around 2005.. Seems like I really liked the American Standard Series.. I remember buying my American Fender Jazz Standard Series at Guitar Center in Indianapolis in 2005 and I believe Brand New I paid $1,500 I think. I no longer have it but I have several pics of me playing it. Lol
So anyway lol, Does anyone know if these American Profesional 2 are close to the old American Standard as far as Quality build and products, and obviously the Tone, and Playability, the feel overall, and also the Necks.. Sorry ya'll that's a lot to ask for lol.. I'm super curious about these Profesional 2.. Can't decide between possibley one of these P-Bass (probably brand new) or if it'd be better to look for a Late 90's-Early 2000's American P-Bass..
If anyone is willing to share their experiences and opinions with me that'd be awesome!! 🤘 I've never got to play one of these or even see one! So whichever I buy it'll be online with not getting to play one. Anyway thanks ya'll!! 🤘

I got mine a week ago. Got the dark night finish, couldnt resist, finally pulled the trigger after the desire didnt fade for a few months. It's my first and only precision (I am mainly a j bass player) and I am absolutely in love. The action is nice and low, the tone is warm and full (rotosound steelwound strings), but gets nice and aggressive when I turn on the gain. The pups and bass's natural resonance make for great versatility.

P Basses are cool but they are a one trick pony.The Jazz Bass is superior due to it's versatility.

D Class and Neo 🤢 plastic tone with crappy scratchy sounding transients. I’m sure you’d have better sales with all valve amp and a cab that doesn’t blow away in a light breeze.

Why is Fender still making necks with heel truss rod adjustment in 2021? Sorry, that's a deal breaker for me. I'm not taking the neck off every time I need to set up my guitar or bass.
