Tesla in 2 years won’t have Union, and it’s optimos robot will do line work, if that takes 2 year.

While the UAW is engaged in a battle of mutual destruction with American legacy auto companies, Tesla is developing a process to eliminate line workers(Autoline). Its new $25k Model Two, built in Mexico, will have one cast, with the other pieces snapped together like Legos. No wonder legacy auto stocks are tanking. These are unintended consequences of the green agenda, contributing to the gradual decline of unions.

I worked at an automotive parts company making parts for a japanese car company. The Union came in demanding more and more money even when the company opened it's books showing no money. The factory is now a storage facility. ( I support more responsible unions but sometimes ...)

Fain has totally irrational demands!!UAW workers are already the highest compensated hourly workers that I know of. I’m concerned that the domestic auto manufacturers won’t be able to survive. Nothing like shooting yourself in the foot and strangling the golden goose at the same time. For some reason they don’t realize how good they have it!!

Small accidents that required a quarter panel change will skyrocket in cost. The large cast can't be fixed like the old way. Cuts costs to Tesla, but your car will be totaled in small accidents due to repair costs.

Gigacasting is a joke - it shifts the cost of the car to the consumer - makes production costs lower but drastically inflates the cost of repairs to consumers as entire sections of a car have to be replaced to fix an accident which is exactly why Teslas cost so much to insure - a fact they do not talk about.

Elon please stop overpopulating the planet singlehandedly 😢. We need to reduce not keep up the pollution and smaller population is key. Economy doesn’t always have to grow and grow. Reduced taxes and production will be fine when we have fewer people on the planet! Cost of housing and land and food will go down when we have enough land and housing because we have fewer people. 😂❤❤🎉

Not smart pushing your employers to bankruptcy. But look at leadership of unions and largely see corruption and convictions and theft from union members. Success isn’t gained through greed but cooperation and honesty folks.

If the UAW starts a rotating strike, can the manufactures just call a lockout instead of paying wages at idled plants?

The only thing I can say is that Unions SUCK… period end of story. Unreasonable and unrealistic, they don’t care about the companies longevity and only think about the NOW. Short sighted ignorance, who do they think they are members of Congress or the Deep State?

If the uaw gets everything it is asking for, the Detroit two and stellantis could go bankrupt and I hope they do. Bankruptcy could shake things up a bit and maybe they can emerge more competitive after they get rid of the uaw.

RIP American Auto. The "well-paid middle-class auto worker" is officially defunct - no longer needed. The Robots, including AI are coming, and they are more than capable...Fain does not realise it - but he IS the final nail in the coffin for the people he should represent...but then that corrupt organisation , the UAW, doesn't actually care about the people they are (supposedly) representing...

The UAW is now finally destroying GM, Ford, Chrysler for good. They will barely be able to survive the switch to EVs, having zero products that can compete on features nor price with Tesla, because Tesla has far superior cost structures and is EV profitable. The UAW will eliminate any hope that Ford can catch up to Tesla on cost. Evil. The UAW does not care about its workers.

Shawn Fain is not saving jobs that are not endanged in the first place. His clueless and short sighted attitude is what has forced thousands of jobs out of this country. Do you think the big the won't move jobs to Mexico in order to stay competitive with foreign manufacturers?

Speaking of pitting management against employees, Tesla does it right. No strike possible there as employees have not been pitted against the management team. What does this mean for you and I? Better products at lower prices and for those who desire it, higher wages with out strongarming.

On your chapter Re: Chinese imports to Europe. You were talking tariffs, I don't really understand that because the Consumer pays the Tarriff not China. Why doesn't the country just stop rebates for autos not manufactured in the E.U.? That maybe all that is necessary.

If you have a more definitive take on this issue pleas include it in a future broadcast, or a special episode.

This is what is hurting EV adoption in the US, not many, especially me, cannot afford 40K to 50K for a car. So, at this time I drive My ICE car.
