I GIVE UP. I have tried this recipe and variations thereof from other videos and all I get is a gloppy, soggy, tasteless, crunchless mess. Tonight I made myself eat a few bites for the nutrition (I had used up all my leftover veg and am shopping tomorrow so I had no other food in the house) and it was sickening. I generally have a rule that if I make it I have to eat it - I hate wasting food. Over the years it has turned me into a better cook. But I had to throw this in the garbage. I am using a nonstick pan, a bit of oil, the EXACT proportions of batter, vegetables, etc. and it's literally inedible. Never even turns brown. The vegetables do cook, but the batter doesn't. It's just a sticky glutinous pile. If anyone has any hints I might try one more time, but honestly as much as I love these in restaurants, I think I have to stop trying for my sanity! And of course, it's a huge waste of food.
