Wow. The first time I ever heard of motorcycle trials, around 1960 or 61, Sammy Miller's name was included in the reference. And here he is, still riding? I am 81 and still riding, so now I have a goal to aim for. Godspeed, Sammy.
ОтветитьBritain could not manufacture that today, unbelievable that once as a nation Britain had people that were capable of designing and manufacturing brilliant quality products and the most amazing thing by today's low standards, is all the components were manufactured in Britain.
ОтветитьI love the smile on Miller's face when he kicks it over and it starts. He looked concerned for a second before the thrust, then bang - beaming! Like a nine year old boy. That, me lads, is the meaning of motorcycling. I too have had that beam in my repertoire, for 50 years or more. Miller is more than a legend. No brag, just fact
ОтветитьGreat video. My fathers side of the family foundered ajs and stevens motorcycles. I have 3 original at home in the garage. Excited to show them this video
ОтветитьBring back the inline 4
Ответитьfred Dibnah owned an AJS but had to sell it on due to Joan Collins being in demand of his £`s. I always wondered what happened to it, if anyone has a link, feel free to reply with it, thanks.

ОтветитьBeautiful bike..sounds great..well done
ОтветитьOne of my heroes - SH Miller, I mean, not just that beautiful motor cycle :) Saw him ride the Scottish and Manx 3 day trials in the 60s on both his Ariel HT5 (GOV 132) and, in 1965 the Bultaco that ended the dominance of British 4 stroke trials bikes and heralded the super lightweight 2 strokes from Spain.
ОтветитьGreat restoration😊
ОтветитьSammy Miller is a true enthusiast and collector. Really unusual bike, thanks for showing it on this great vid.

ОтветитьGreat to see Sammy in such good form. Last went to his museum in 1998, need to visit again this summer to see how the collection has grown.
ОтветитьSammy must have one of the best collections of motorbikes in existence.
