Maybe im doing something wrong but i have the sony a7iii, the 70-200gmii is so insanely sharp, i LOVE that lens. I purchased the 24-70 2.8 gm. And it comes not even close to being as sharp. Which im confused since is a GM lens and the price is up there aswell..

I bought Sony a7111 and this lenses is it good decision.

Can it go with a Sony 6400?

Well, I had just enough to get my 1st GM lens. Not sorry. I will, however have to save up to buy additional lenses as this is the only lens I own at the moment which is why I bought this lens. 1st, because of the versatility it provides ,24mm to 70mm and...I wanted that "Rolls Royce" hood ornament for my camera. LOL. It really is a work of art. Great job on the video!

Hi Kansei , im just wondering my 24-70 2.8 gm lens ...when in 24mm my images is bright and nice but when zoomed to 70mm it became underexposed alittle ..hope you can help me ?

it is a great lens, i can do macro with the close focusing capability with crop, but it does have character like mr. Kensei said, you need proper light on your subject and the color tone is warm

Let’s say I have the budget. On my hands, I have a zeiss 16-35f4 and a 28-70. Should I buy this or should I get a 85? I also travel a lot and I really hate my 28-70 so I never use it but I love my 1635. I feel like I need a lens in the 24-70 range or even a portrait lens. Or will you even recommend the 24-105G?

Would you recommend this over the Sigma?

I'm torn between this and the Sigma 24-70. I'm leaning more toward Sigma because it only cost like half of Sony here in Philippines + it can focus much closer.

So i bought the sigma 24-70 dg dn and tamron 28-75 and compared them for weeks
I concluded that the sigma was better, sharper and more consistent than the tamron, so i returned the tamron
But then over the past weeks i noticed that on my sigma lens, was a huge dust spec INSIDE the front lens... was so bummed about that
So now after seeing this review, i think ima return the sigma and get the sony gm lol

And your right, even with the black pro mist on the sigma, it was still sharp and didnt look good.. something is off, i dont know if its the color or what, how you liking the sony gm color/image quality?

Quick question though, I was all set to buy the Sigma 24-70 but what you said about the sharpness put me off so now I am leaning more towards the GM...
