ОтветитьNice review.
ОтветитьThanks for the video review… concise to the point and no fluff👍👍👍
ОтветитьNice review.
ОтветитьI pair my MUT with the Leatherman bit and extension set. It all fits in the provided nylon MOLLE sheath.
ОтветитьSnapped the "ridged and strong" carbon scraper not once but twice..... yes I managed to snap the replacement as well! Other than that the MUT has been great for almost 10 years now.
ОтветитьGreat video,… I got one of these from my dad,… very good tool, thanks for the information!!
ОтветитьOne pretty absurd statement in here in particular regarding the field kit. There are a ton of handles for cleaning rods that are every bit as firm strong as the MUT. Here's the simple reality: Unless you're active duty military in a war zone who may need the items on the fly or you're expecting an apocalypse , walking around the country with your AR like the Walking Dead, you're better off getting a P4 with more practical tools and building your own small field kit with the essential items. In your version, you're already having to carry a cleaning rod...so a handle, scraper, etc. in the same kit is no big deal for people who don't expect a SHTF scenario. Just grab what you need out of your range bag if necessary. I'm sure lots of tacti-cool wannabes will buy this though and never once use the firearm tools portion, essentially wasting money.
ОтветитьExcellent review Sir!
ОтветитьGreat video very informational. But please don’t call it an A.R. 15 assault rifle.
ОтветитьAnother quick note. That 'lock' is, in itself, (I don't doubt their paradox is intentional) a multi-tool. It is for operating a jammed bolt on an AR platform rifle (or any gas impingement system). Gives you something to really hold onto and yank if there is a jam. Now, personally... my battle rifle is a SCAR 17s. Which means such a function of the multi-tool is not needed for my own rifle. As much as a non reciprocating charging handle sucks if you don't mind its adherence to the laws of physics, it is the best way to use physics to clear a jam. Range rules don't apply. If I can find a hard edge, I can slam the weight of the rifle on the charging handle and I promise you, of the three... the jam is the one that will break loose first if I give it the required force the first time.
Just something to keep in mind :)
I feel like the thought process that goes into making every space useful on these military firearm tools need to go into the wave and surge and other models. Just example like the bits hiding in the handles those could go into other models. Instead of making useless tools like the new mr. Crunch
ОтветитьI seriously wonder who on earth would think a non-removable saw is better because of cutting length, since you can fix ANY length in when it's removable. Jesus.
ОтветитьOutstanding review
ОтветитьFriend of mine had one of these for as long as I’d known him, and only got rid of it because he switched careers from being a gunsmith. He still occasionally reaches to his now empty belt when he needs to do something, before expressing regret getting rid of it. If he hadn’t already placed an order on one, and it would t set me back $160, I’d’ve bought it for him in a heartbeat.
ОтветитьThanks for a great review! I just got one and being a newbie I can't figure out how to to close it. What unlocks the pliers to fold it back up?
ОтветитьI loved this leathermen while I was in the army I love it but I really beat it up and it went threw the ringer. I ended up breaking the carbon scraper. I found that the bolt override on the hammer was as good as jamming the plier in their.
ОтветитьI just love overly loud shit intro music
ОтветитьGreat vid
ОтветитьHey @gearsntools, did your mut come with both long shanked bits? I literally just got mine today and I'm only seeing one bit. The Phillip's and flat head.
ОтветитьThank you for the video. I have a question, I've got a couple of MUTs for my collection, one black and one silver. The silver one doesn't have the brand and model printed. Is that normal or is just a manufacturing error?
ОтветитьProbably going to get one of these. But I doubt I'll ever use the scraper. Think I'd replace it with a can opener if I could. Use it on my rebar to tur. Soda cans Into spitters. Everything else seems perfect for me
ОтветитьDoes anybody know if this tool works in a HK G36 maintenance?
ОтветитьHey, I was thinking about that lock that’s on it. And playing with mine, then I realized something that makes not silly at all. You had two mags in your sheath, and the tool has a carabiner clip. So if you are clipping it to a bag or whatever, it makes sense to have the lock so it doesn’t open up which if you are hiking or marching I’m sure it would without the lock on. Just a thought.
ОтветитьHi it’s called a MUT pronounced “MUTT” not MUTE just saying. The sight tool goes in the back outside pocket of the strap as well. Nice video though
ОтветитьLeatherman mute?
Ответитьits not molle, thats PALS webbing, molle is the attachment
ОтветитьThanks bro.
ОтветитьI frickin love it!
ОтветитьMy flat head bit is stuck in the socket ... now I can’t change the bits out
ОтветитьHe never mentioned the bolt override feature
ОтветитьThank you very much for your vid. Appreciate your effort.
ОтветитьI started using multi tools when I discover leatherman ,they actually build tools that work and are strong , is an american made tool and when I buy an american product I would appreciate that all of it even the sheath is made in america and before somebody accuse me for racism or something am not even American .
ОтветитьDrink ever time he says multi tool.
ОтветитьMultitool. Multitool multitool. Multitool.
ОтветитьThis is honestly the worst multitool on the market. Probably the most expensive as well. If it wasn’t a gift I wouldn’t own it, but this thing is literally infuriating to work with.
ОтветитьMy SUPERTOOL RULES
Ответитьbeaucoup de fer chez leatherman,Victorinox est plus beau...

ОтветитьThanks for a great review. I was given one of these recently and was overwhelmed by it and had to look up a video on how to operate it. Yours was the first one I saw and now I fully understand how to use my mut. Thanks for the review
ОтветитьDear God, not only am I hearing that term way too much it is the oddest pronunciation
Ответитьvery informative...thanks
