From Wikipedia: "The Adriatic or Apulian Plate is a small tectonic plate carrying primarily continental crust that broke away from the African Plate along a large transform fault in the Cretaceous period. The name Adriatic Plate is usually used when referring to the northern part of the plate. This part of the plate was deformed during the Alpine orogeny, when the Adriatic/Apulian Plate collided with the Eurasian Plate."
ОтветитьNice 👍 ❤
ОтветитьBest travel in Italia ❤
ОтветитьThe food I saw you folks eating was gross.. I hope I’ll find amazing food to eat .. That is part of what I love about Italy.. Had to change the channel.. yikes .. melt in your mouth food .. where is that please 😂
ОтветитьBorn in Puglia,,now that I’m retired I plan to stay for a month every year
ОтветитьThe 2017 too. We were there the day after
ОтветитьJust discovered Travel Beans and your channel. Love you both! Doing some research for a 1 week trip to Brindisi in September. Thanks for your helpful content!
ОтветитьHi guys. Thanks for the great videos, which are both informative and interesting. We are visiting Puglia later this year and will be discovering the region by car. We have travelled extensively and love to discover as lone tourists...so a lot in common with you 🙂. When we hired a car when travelling in Tuscany we found it problematic...much more so than anywhere else in the world we had travelled to. Compared to a lot of other developed countries the road signs are always in Italian with no sub language. As we do not speak Italian (we always attempt to speak and get to know the local language) we were always very aware of ensuring we parked in a permitted zone and tried to avoid travelling down restricted (residents only) roads...particularly where there was no Italian sign to attempt to translate just a local graphic sign. We failed, returning home to the UK to a nice driving fine (we had hit a restricted zone without realising 😞). We would be grateful for any advice/information you can give as regards driving in Puglia and particularly when we enter towns to park etc. We wonder if we should leave the car at our various regional bases (hotels, B&B) and take public transport (Train/buses etc) to the towns and villages (centre of)...but doing that seems to be counter intuitive when paying to hire a car. Any help you can give guys would be appreciated. Keep well and safe travelling. "Diolch yn fawr" from Wales.
ОтветитьDid you skip Santa Maria di leuca which is where the Adriatic and Ionian seas come together
ОтветитьIt's sad that you guys didn't check out the gargano coast which is beautiful as the all pleaces shown on this video. An also much more to see in inland area of pre appennino.
ОтветитьDo you need GPS with a rental or iPhone maps work fine?
ОтветитьWhat’s the best way to get from Rome to Bari in the Puglia region
ОтветитьCool
Ответить😂ye that is pane arabo - it is great for panini. I guess they did not change the label when you were picking it up because it is obvious for a locals. great vlogs btw
ОтветитьGerman food from Lidl😩 Super movie
ОтветитьReally, pastries, breads, and snacks from the gas station? You really haven’t left America, lol! Greetings from Illinois!
ОтветитьItaly takes full advantage of only the centre-north of the country in terms of tourism.
While the south is much less visited. And paradoxically, the south is the best part. There has always been a problem of poor management in the south. If it had been managed for example by Spain (a master country of movida organization) we would be talking about mass tourism, youth, just like Ibiza or Palma de Mallorca.
Arab Bread 0.29 euro, Pizzetta 1.68 euro ( it was in the lower shelf right under arab bread) 😂🍕🍕🍕 sh*t happens
ОтветитьYou read the
wrong label you ate ARAB BREAD instead PIZZETTA You must read the upper label not the lower label.
And you paid for pizzetta not for arab bread maybe it was cheaper.
Some sandstone, but looked like a little limestone. Limestone formed from dead fish, and other crustaceans. Sandstone is from old beaches basically, beach sand!
ОтветитьNice video but spare us from looking at Lidl junk. German supermarkets with imitation Italian foods. Only someone with zero palate and knowledge could get there. An Italian would go to a bar or pastry shop or have breakfast at home.
Ответить❤️
ОтветитьApertivo is not free food
ОтветитьAdvertising out me off 👍
ОтветитьI’d pay for advice on driving the southern public area. It will be my first driving in Italy. Loooove your channel!
ОтветитьHi. Just came across your channel because I was looking to see how to manage getting around the Puglia area without a car. However, it seems you need one. Any recommendations on which car company and where (I think you said Bari), but would it be more economical to rent elsewhere? Also, did you drop the car off back at point of pick-up? BTW, love the relaxed meandering vibes you both have about this trip through Puglia.
ОтветитьHi guys, love your videos! We are going to Puglia this coming September 22 and have taken notes of all your tips! Thanks for sharing your experience. Can I ask what car rental you used and if you have any specific tips pls? Thanks!
Ответить👏🥰
ОтветитьHow I really like the video.but I must correct that vieste is not the heel of Italy,it’s in the spur of Italy. How do I know I’m from vieste. My dad was born and raised in vieste . It’s my home town in Italy.. even though I was born in Ontario Canada
ОтветитьGuys the “pizzette sfoglia con salame” were those underneath 😂😂😂 that one was “pane arabo” and I hope you have paid for what it was as the price was 0.29 lol.
Bear in mind when you see the word “pizza” or “pizzetta” (small pizza), it means the toppings are only on top indeed. Those which are stuffed are “calzone” or “panzerotto” which most of the time is no gonna look that white and empty like those bread rolls you have taken by mistake.
Small tips to “survive” in Italy 😂
Enjoy!!!
Disappointed The Newstates did not cliff dive....😉
Ответитьi want those LIDL sneakers
ОтветитьCan I ask what car company you used to rent a car? Thank you!
ОтветитьBeautiful
ОтветитьYou two are so cute and funny together. Happy travels. New subscriber
ОтветитьReally enjoyed learning more about Puglia, and especially the interesting coast rock formations and grottos. Just an fyi which you probably already know. Gallipoli (the Turkish one) is a place with massive resonance for many folk whose grandparents and greatgrandparents fought there in WW1, perhaps most especially folk from Australia / NZ. No reason for you to dwell on it because it's not the same place, but some acknowledgement might have been nice. SE Italy has a lot of Turkish influences dating back several centuries (eg the Trulli), so that probably explains the name being the same. Keep travelin'!
ОтветитьTry some panzerrotti in places like "Tony Bar" in Fasano. You will have stuffed bread until you are stuffed.
Beware though, they are very hot inside and do not come with a warning printed on them.
I love puglia. My favourite triangle spans from Polignano, Monopoli, Savelletri, Ostuni, down to Brindisi and Lecce and across to Gallipoli.
Affordable accomodation, beautiful beaches, great food and wine as well as friendly and happy people.
I hope you are feeling better Kaitlyn.
ОтветитьThose alcoves (Christoforo Grotto) "LOOK" like burial chambers. I have no real knowledge but, there are very similar carved openings along the ruins in Argrigento (Sicily). Can't recall whether they Carthaginian or Greek or Pagan.
ОтветитьThe hanging flowers in the garden in Savelletri are datura .... very common here in California.
Ответитьyou nerd to learn how to pronounce the towns that you visited in puglia, especially BARI.
Ответить"Where are the tourists?" LOL - you realize in non-COVID era those places are mobbed even off season in october
ОтветитьI will go to Puglia in april 2022, your suggestions are very nyce and important for my trip. Thanks !
ОтветитьIn you opinion is renting a car a must in Puglia? If so is it easy to drive there (as opposed to Florence, Rome etc with speed zones)?
ОтветитьSo beautiful! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
ОтветитьLove the Wanderlog idea!! I need to check that out! Puglia looks amazing! I think the most disappointed I have ever seen you guys was when you tried that pizzetta thing and it was just bread! 😭💖🍕
