I've been struggling with Poland tracks in Dirt Rally 2.0 now for years. It's really hard with xbox-controller.

after playing rbr for awhile i’ve actually went back to dr2.0. mainly cause it’s just a higher quality game with a great online club system

Are you on drugs sir? WRC Generations handling is a disaster and is one of the worst WRC titles on tarmac. They f... up the handling completely. The best tarmac handling is by far WRC 9.
Generations is a disgrace and the devs should be in jail for what they did!

It's honestly kind of sad that there isn't a better Rally game out there. You can check some of the boxes, but for whatever reason, modern technology hasn't done this genre any favors. I guess the demand just isn't there.

Dr2.0 is way better than wrc

As a pretty experienced drifter (AC and real life), I wanted to try rally. I bought Dirt Rally, took a RWD car on each surfaces, and I could not understand how the car behaves. Even with huge angle, center the wheel and floor the throttle, and the car realigns itself... how could they pretend to have something realistic ?!? Did someone at Codemasters have already drive a car in real life ?!?

After uninstalling that, I installed RBR. And since then, I'm completely in love, the feeling of all cars are just on another dimension ... Long live RBR !

Maybe it's just me but I can't stand co driver. Not even that title. You are not co driving you are a passenger that won't shut the hell up.

How do I find this version of RBR?

there is something wrong with the vr in rally sim fans. it made me sick almost immediatly. which i dont understand. i have never felt sick playing any racing sims in vr before. plus just everything else about it is so frustrating trying to get all the settings and inputs working properly. i want to like it. but so far i dont. its just so much easier to play dirt rally 2.0 even if its a worse game.

And how would the game (RBR) hold up without any mods. In my opinion it's a bit unfair to compare 2 stock games with a highly modified version of a game.. Don't get me wrong, I love RBR, but out of the box, the other two games are better.

Yes, the older titles did it better.. lfs, rbr, gtr 2 and gt legends. If they would have stuck to the underlying physics and added better mesh textures, proper graphics and today's hardware, would be near perfect driving sims.

For some reason, I preferred dirt rally over dirt rally 2.0 in handling, looks and physics.
But the feeling on dirt fish track in project cars 2 feels very good too.

Yet another praising video for that ancient rally sim... Why don't you play those new better sims? Ohh I see, there isn't any! :O Thats sad but true, RBR is still the most realistic rally sim today. I was a teenager when RBR was published and oh boy I was addicted to it! It took some time to learn those physics and it was very frustrating at first, trying to get those corners too fast and crash so many times... Until you realized that slowing down actually makes you faster, that weird thing all RBR drivers had to learn :D I'ts been many years without playing RBR and I thought it's forgotten, but then I found RSR RBR project and OMG!! It's still alive, people are still modding and tweaking and making it better... VR support and all... Wow! Now I'm playing it with Rift S VR set + my old faithful G27 and i'm addicted again :D

Great game. Unfortunately the track lacks details and polygons, so many of the "effects" do have to come through the wheel FFB which is excellent but they do not translate from the track. BeamNG covers this best. nice video. ;-)
