My first boyfriend Jesus proposed to me in 2003, I was only 3 and he was almost 6. We were so young But I guess He was in love with me lol. We were neighbours, so one day in 2003 I was in my apartment. On the 3rd floor. He started yelling for me when he was outside. My mom and I went on the balcony and looked down at him & he said “chantalle will you marry me” we buzzed him in and we played together. Engaged.🤣he died in June. When I found out I cried so hard. And I thought that when he proposed to me while he was outside yelling my name & I went out to see him, it was like the movie scene where John Cusack holds the boombox outside and plays in your eyes. And she looks outside to see him. A few weeks later when I thought about Jesus in the car, I changed the station and this song was playing. I had tears in my eyes. He would have been 26 now. He’s alive somewhere. I Hope he’s happy. I wish we got married tho, I wish I moved back to our neighbour hood and msged him and asked him to hang out but I was too insecure.😭

This song allows me to feel emotion and let go of some of my deep sadness.
