LL has undeniably fabulous keyboard skills, and this may be how Liszt would render it but I don't think that's what Chopin had in mind. Lang Lang stretches, contorts, infuses generous rubatos, and over-feigns grandeur such that it becomes a macabre showpiece and not an elegant intimate waltz, in other words, LL plays to impress, turning a simple waltz into a garish showstopper piece, but, truthfully, I doubt people would like to hear his charade repeated.
