Wouldn't we also need a Captain Jack hartness timeline for when he interacts with the doctor the same way we have with river? It's essentially the same kind of thing they can time travel and they're both immortal essentially. I can't imagine they interacted with each other fluidly throughout their own time streams. It would have to be sometimes like river in the doctor, right?

The best part of Jack flirting with 13 is the fact that she is just the same Time Lord he’s flirted with in the past.

I'm sorry, but for me this doesn't work. It just shows why I couldn't engage with the Chibnall era. It felt lazy and contrived, techno-jargon, and meaningless references and call backs. Such a significant reversal of fortune shouldn't be a two minute scene. It's the same issue I had when Jodie was converted into a Weeping Angel as the episode climax. For it simply to be undone without consequence in the opening seconds of the next episode, no lingering consequences, no expansion of the lore or deepening of the mythos.

While I really appreciate Jack showing up again, I feel like there was a lot of missed opportunities yet again at characterization here.

Jack says it took 19 years to get to the cell next to The Doctor, and yet when they both land with Grahem, Ryan, and Yaz, Yaz is especially ticked off that she landed more than a year after she last left them. This could be noteworthy if it was during the pandemic, but there's no mention of that in the episode. The Doctor has the ultimate comeback of claiming she was literally isolated in a jail cell for almost two decades, and she shouldn't be blamed for landing the TARDIS inaccurally like that when it would be basically expected out of anyone to be out of it after being alone for that long, even for a Time-Lord.

I did appreciate the line about Thr Doctor claiming she tried eating the bars, so the P'Ting shouldn't even try. It would be very bizarre if we're just meant to believe that The Doctor stayed in this cell without trying anything for 19 years.

The thing I find and especially huge missed opportunity however is the fact that at this point, The Doctor is having trouble coming to terms with the revelation of The Timeless Child, and we're led to believe she spent the last two decades sulking over it.

Meanwhile, Jack is also a character who's famous for having most of his past wiped from his memory. If anyone could help The Doctor with her truama, or at least relate to her, it would be Jack.

Oh my God. They copy the dialogue from the RTD era. This is not a reference, not nostalgia, not even lazy writing. This is plagiarism, which doesn't even work, because the audience isn't stupid enough to rejoice when they just repeat the words.

I forgot about the Silence Confessor/Silent in this episode, so I guess its powers are working. Interesting the Judoon managed to arrest it, guess just fallout from the Kovarian Chapter's failure and River Song's blitz against its remnants (spin-off addressed this).

Did not like this episode, we are dealing with the doctor here and she didn't even try to escape in this episode, no plan no nothing, it would have been great to stick with her all episode with her making an outlandish plan only for Jack to finally meet her and escape. Jack was also wasted.

Remember when the Doctor broke out of a time lord prison designated specifically for her by punching a wall for a billion years. This is a normal space jail and she didn't even try. For such a take charge character not even trying is out of character.
