Hello, I use a step down for lamps, in total they consume a maximum of 8a, but the charge controller varies the input voltage between 14.4 and 12.5, so it reaches 11v and the lamps become weak, I wanted to add this step up the video before step down, and raise the voltage to 16v, does this work?

I wanted to use it to charge a laptop with a 12V battery that is connected to a solar panel, and with the boost, setting to 19V/3.42A. I saw one comment on AliExpress saying that the trace of solder between the diode and the transistor is very thin and that him would reinforce it, so I take the tip and reinforced mine with more solder. I don't know if that's the problem, but my boost is showing almost 20A on the output, when I short circuit and use a amperimeter clamp to measure the amps. And yes, looks like the current adjust don't work, because it's always showing in the output 20A. I'm afraid testing that on my laptop, because even knowing that he only draw the current he needs, 20A it's almost 6 times more than what he uses.
Maybe if I remove the "solder upgrade" I did this solve the problem? Or even use a resistor on the input or output to limit the current to something close to the 3.42A. But I don't know if that would work, because if be necessary a powerful resistor (more than 100W, for example), I think it's become a too expensive solution.
