I was born with a cleft palate. The doctor didn't know this when I was first born, but when the nurse went to feed me, she found out that I had one. I was 18 months old, when I had it operated on.

If you want to know I had a cleft palate with the top of my mouth of what they say as completely gone and had some breathing problems after surgery so they had to put me in a air tent ( It looks like a clear plastic box that’s around the head) and I didn’t have problems that had to with the palate itself but had surgery that relate to it in a certain way but this not guaranteed for everyone but I also have midline syndrome which made me more likely ( things such as ear problems and teeth problems) Somethings to expect to happen as they get older are texture and speech problems but that’s about it for what I know of.

I had me cleft palate done but when I was born I had to stay in the hospital till I got my cleft palate cuz I could not breathe cuz my tongue was going in my air way and cleft palate are done after 10-12 months of being born so I had to stay till I have around 1 then got my cleft palate done. But I'm 14 year old now and I never have a problem
