I think making Lalo and Gus , in a sense, strangers was a mistake. Both being so prominent in that organization certainly would have had previous dealings.

it’s so sad that he was the shows backbone. Truly truly. Odenkirk is a very very great supporting actor but by no means was he a good main protagonist. His facial expressions (through no fault of his own) alllllll looked the same. His happy face looked like a frown, his resting face looked like a frown, his angry face looked like a frown, him exclaiming about anything looked like a frown and he’s not really about to capture and emit emotion. It just never worked for me. I can’t watch better call Saul amillion times over like I did breaking bad.

I like the way that the breaking bad universe makes these characters that are displayed as super human like lalo and gus but peal the layers back to humanize them. Like finding out how gus knew fring was coming in his house and it wasnt some sixth sense and lalo being bested by fring.

I love how they nailed the Mexican accent. I hate when they cast Hispanic actors who’s native language isn’t Spanish. And you can TELL easily, by how they butcher the accent and the delivery ( Pablo Escobar in Narcos 🙄)
