What's this.
ОтветитьA non American would have a different list. Jacob Bronowskis "Ascent of man". Melvyn Braggs "Adventures in English". Aubrey Mannings "Earth story". David Attenboroughs "The Blue planet". Kenneth Clarkes "Civilisation". Really? None of these? You didn't even include Carl Sagans "Cosmos". This list seems to have been compiled by a pretentious American film student.
ОтветитьSaw Grizzly Man waaay back when it first came out. Unfortunate brutality predictable outcome.
Would also highly recommend:
Restrepo-Story following small U.S. military squad at the height of one of the most deadly times in Afghanistan.
Fahrenheit 9/11-Part of the movie is obvious exaggeration and too much of a stretch to be true. There are parts though that make you go “hmmmmm.”
Gone: The Disappearance of Aeryn Gillern. New Yorker goes missing in Vienna. People in the documentary know what happened and have details but story follows challenges of his mother for answers.
Al Gore is a hypocrite. That "Documentary" is one big lie. Same thing with Michael Moore, hypocrite and self serving person. He cares about no one but himself.
ОтветитьThe documentary A Chef's table is informative and beautifully done 🤌🏾
ОтветитьSteal A Pencil For Me. Very touching.
ОтветитьI implore everyone to watch Cave Of Forgotten Dreams! It's unbelievably beautiful and thought provoking, I'll be the first to admit that it made me tear up in awe. It was one of the reasons why I'm now doing an ancient history degree at university
ОтветитьBlackfish is another documentary that EVERYBODY needs to see at least once!
ОтветитьI’ll always remember my dad sitting me down and making me watch Hoop Dreams. My pops was real big on me going to college (not just for sports, but in general) and wanted me to see the work those guys put in. For any young athlete, I think it’s a great watch!
Ответить"Advancements russians mede" 🤡
The "Man with a Movie Camera" was literally shot with the support of the Odesa Film Studio of the VUFKU, because in the RSFSR the director was forbidden to shoot at all, and the filming of the film took place mainly in Odesa, Kharkiv and Kyiv, where the premiere took place on January 6, 1929.
And this is not to mention the fact that Dzyga Vertov was not russian, he was a Jew of Polish origin.
I saw the documentary about Woodstock and have the album. I wanted to go but it was too expensive; I later discovered that the entrance fee was waived. So disappointed
ОтветитьClass Action Park Is a must see! And it’s hilarious!
ОтветитьSteve James did an excellent documentary called “Stevie.” It is fascinating. Everyone should see it
ОтветитьSomething is wrong with Aunt Diane.
Ответитьwow, this list reads like a woke fever dream.
ОтветитьAn Inconvenient Truth didn’t age well.
ОтветитьAn inconvenient truth??? 🤣😂🤣
ОтветитьFree Solo man... never seen anything like that in my entire life.. riveting
ОтветитьI've always looked at documentaries, regardless of subject, as a way to inform the mis- or uninformed. For me, a good example would be Woodstock. It was a poignant look at the 60s counter-culture, their dreams and aspirations and the reality of the way things were in America. Billed as three days of peace and music, promoters expected 20,000 people, hoped for 40,000 and ended up with nearly half a million, creating a logistics nightmare. Truly one of the most insightful documentaries about music ever created. Cheers....
ОтветитьFire of Love (2022) is one of the most astounding documentaries, visually. For story value there is little better than Touching the Void (2003).
ОтветитьInconvenient Truth has turned out to be Inconvenient BS!
Ответитьthere's so many better documentaries, this is a trash list.
ОтветитьA great documentary is Lion in the House it is sad but it shows exactly what the children go through having cancer. It is very accurate.
ОтветитьStevie, The bridge and The Dog are GREAT
ОтветитьDear Zachary is both edifying and poignant. It destroyed me <3 It is a larger than life documentary
ОтветитьDaughter of Danang
ОтветитьThe list includes...
Man on wire
Grizzly bear
Dear Zachary
Woodstock
Icarus
Fire of love
Hoop dreams
Ziro dreams of sushi
The thin blue line
Paradise lost: murders at Robin hood hills
Paris is burning
13th
Night and fog
They shall never grow old
An inconvenient truth
Free solo
Man with a movie camera
Bowling for Columbine
The act of killing
Inconvenient truth is a lie and has been proven to be so I would call it fiction.
ОтветитьAl Gore, what a damn joke! Him and Gates are the reason for all our troubles, not to mention Barry Hussein Obama
ОтветитьI had to watch this to see what I missed. I have watched so many but, I must have missed these. Maybe it’s on Prime? I watch a lot on cults and celebrities and serial killers.
ОтветитьAside from "The Thin Blue Line", "Jiro Dreams of Sushi" and "Night and Fog", which I've already seen; the rest of these docs are pointless and anecdotal. So NO I won't be watching them.😑 Many of those docs are pure self congratulatory garbage.
Ответитьwhere is "Inside job"?
ОтветитьTOWER (2016) better be on this list!
ОтветитьI love documentaries
ОтветитьDogtown and Z Boys!
Ответить"Dominion 2018" (available on yt). find out what you're paying for several times a day
ОтветитьGood, bad, or otherwise.... "Bowling for Columbine" CANNOT BE CALLED A DOCUMENTARY FILM. It is an obvious propaganda piece that does not merely "document" facts as they occured. It unapologetically pushes a specific agenda. I could careless about Michael Moore's agenda, however I have to call this out. It is NOT a Documentary.
This could likely be why Mr. Moore removed it from Oscar contention in the "Best Documentary Film" category.
Inconvenient truth is fictional. Every prediction failed to come to fruition. It's not backed in science, it's meant to cause an emotional reaction
ОтветитьThe Act of Killing, the story of Indonesian's holocaust.
ОтветитьSupersize Me
ОтветитьSorry watchmojo but this video sucked azz. Non of these even looked the slightest of intriguing at all. Not even honorable mentions
ОтветитьBlackfish (2013) should be on here! Best documentary I have ever seen.
ОтветитьI don’t watch many documentaries nor am I a big fan of Spike Lee but his documentary about Hurricane Katrina was excellent.
ОтветитьAny documentary about 9/11 conspiracy. The evidence is there! Give them a chance!
ОтветитьI can't believe Earthlings didn't even get an honorable mention :(
ОтветитьPretty clear that the narrator has never seen one second of any of these films. Disgusting lack of effort.
ОтветитьYou've never seen Paris is Burning obviously. What a disgrace of a synopsis. 🤮
ОтветитьWhat va joke...name one person on earth who hasn't seen ever one of your lame entries. Lazy, intellectually dishonest posers. Time to grow up and start putting in some effort.
ОтветитьInside Job - An insightful documentary about the 2008 recession that's also a great companion movie to The Big Short
Rumble - About Native Americans and their impact on music and pop culture
Food Inc - About the food industry and how a few corporations monopolize food production
