WHATS WRONG WITH A WICK AND WAX?

Power Stations can help the environment or they can destroy it and right now we are trying to find ways to go clean. Hydro Electric controls flooding but if you horde all the water like California does they can reach dead pool if you do nothing. Geothermal is used to tap the earths core everyone uses it but it is still experimental. Solar is used to harness the sun but if you want to go green we need to switch to photovoltaic and shut down photo reflective. Wind is controversial but it is the greenest of the bunch. Coal is dirty so is Diesel and Incineration we are trying to move away from them. Finally Nuke is the worse of the worse. Contrary to popular belief Nuke is not green energy once the core reaches 50s years you have to remove the rods and dismantle the reactor and right now we have too much nuclear waste piling up and Jim Ricco and Greenpeace are not helping. Since Season 6 Modern Marvels has been interviewing them and it was Jim Ricco who got Walter Minnick elected shutting down the Yucca Mountain Project and dumping millions of tons of defense and commercial nuclear waste from the Rocky Flats Power Plant into the Idaho desert near INEL which contaminated the site. Walter Minnick lost to Larry Craig and Craig's successor Mike Crapo signed an agreement with Phil Batt and Cecil Andrus and the waste is being exhumed and removed for Idaho to permanent storage in New Mexico and Utah where it will never enter anyone's drinking water ever again. When you build a power station the line is drawn when the technology involved can be a risk to the environment.

We can't live without electricity but it is the main thing destroying the environment.most is generated by fossil fuels which we know is extremely harmful to the upper atmosphere.pcb"s and other electrical chemicals and waste cause cancer and god knows what else .air conditioning and refrigeration eat electric every second of every day.i heard a expert on electricity say the grid failing would kill ninty percent of the population.i can't imagine not having electric.people in the usa would definitely die .i can think of very few things that don't require electric.people are known to have nervous breakdowns when their i phone stops working.i could go on forever and not scratch the surface concerning the disasters associated with losing the grid.its only a matter of time.

I put a turbine in a creek and it worked kept barries fully charged. An old crazy man taught me how. He was a genius but dressed like a bum with zero electricity. He ran the power company off.

Mankind's lack of intelligence in regard to working WITH the environment instead of trying to CONTROL it has led us to the present. A world whose air is almost unbreathable in places and is polluted everywhere, whose waterways are used as sewer systems polluted beyond drinkability and whose land and oceans are filled with garbage and toxic waste. Tell me HISTORY channel, what's so "marvelous" about that?

Edison gets all the credit but he actually backed D/C current while the A/C was obviously the best choice, he setup shows and electrocuted animals in public as stunts to put down Tesla's A/C, much of human history is skewed.

Sorry was Westinghouse that briefed us from it but it was not him that created it. We all should know Tesla created the modern advance when it comes to electronic. It was not Westernhouse it was Tesla
