Take a small rock from Kentucky with you to add to a huge pile of rocks that pilgrims have left over the centuries
ОтветитьHave a wonderful trip!!!
ОтветитьLooks like your base weight is going up. I suppose that will be OK since you will be in towns at hostels every night. Word to the wise from a friend of mine who is on the Camino right now. Make your sleeping arrangements ahead of time. The hostels and hotels are filling up by mid-day. Have a great pilgramage!
Ответить... Stay Safe ,, Have Fun ..
ОтветитьHappy and safe travels.
ОтветитьSuggestion. Make sure your chargers for phone, iPad, etc are compatible with 240 volts. If not, then you will need to buy some new chargers at the first supermarket you come to when you arrive in Spain. You could buy transformers before you leave, but they will be expensive and heavy.
ОтветитьI used that same Aegismax bag on my Camino. It was fine. I don’t think you will need a liner, but if you’re set on taking one, then I would get it treated with permethrin (bed bugs are a thing.) In fact, I would go ahead and treat your backpacks with permethrin as well. Also, just remember that you are walking from town to town through a first world country, not the wilderness. You don’t really need a bunch of “stuff” as you can resupply nearly everywhere. I never needed to take a “wilderness break” so a poop kit was not needed. Buen Camino…ultreia et suseia!
ОтветитьYou know you might want a nicer outfit for going out at night to a nice restaurant.
ОтветитьBest of luck on this exciting adventure. Can't wait to follow along!
ОтветитьGreat video! Make sure to check your hiking poles when you fly. They'll definitely get taken away once you get to Europe (has happened to us and many people we know).
All the albergues have pillows (that are usually pretty nice as far as hostels go). We both brought pillows on our first Camino Frances and didn't use it a single time. Maybe only bring one pillow for your legs.
As far as poo kits go, just a shovel, toilet paper, and a ziplock for dirty paper is sufficient. You're never more than an hour or so from a town so you can clean up more/dispose of the paper when you get to town.
Bring some kind of laundry soap for hand washing laundry. We like Dr Bronner's bar soap or solid laundry sheets.
We live pretty close to Santiago. Give us a shout if you want to meet for a celebratory beer or vermouth. Buen Camino!!!!
Buen Camino, Perrigrino y Perrigrina! CUT your gear in half! You will find a village every 10 to 15 km! The Alberques (hostels) and Villages will have everything you need. Everyone's Camino is Different! I am excited for your both and will be following you! P.S. Toilet Paper is a must! Your Camino will provide! Do not pack your fears, you leave your fears on the Camino. Again, Buen Camino!
Ответитьtreat your sleep systems and packs with permethrin to ward off the bed bugs!
Buen Camino! 😊
OV is amazing! Love their pants and sun hoodie!! Have a great trip!
ОтветитьJason sure is going to miss you😢
ОтветитьI’m saving up to do this next year!! Buen Camino!
ОтветитьA mirror is a great tool beyond seeing oneself in. Start fires, signaling, looking around corners without putting your head into a potential crosshairs situation… this list goes on. Be careful and have fun
ОтветитьI walked the Camino in 2019. Take your umbrella, and don’t forget ear plugs to use in the albergues. Buen Camino
ОтветитьHave a great time! Good luck with weather and all the things that can go your way or be a little frustration.
Ответить¡Bien Camino! Vaya con Dios
ОтветитьThis was great! I'm excited for you for this trip! I love the OR Echo hooky! You got me thinking about losing the Zploc! That Osprey kit looked awesome
I'll follow along on IG as well!
Can’t wait!
ОтветитьGo stringer!!!!!
ОтветитьYou guys look well prepared! Go kill it Jeremiah and Bridgette!!! 🙌🙌🙌
ОтветитьIf your pack is more than 8-10% of your body weight, then you overpacked. It’s an urban not wilderness hike.
ОтветитьI have the same pants as your wife and love them. I even bought shorts in the same style too!
ОтветитьAm I the only one that Hates those crinkly sounds those bags make?! 😅
It’s cute how excited the Wifey is to go on this trip! Love her!
Nice , enjoy if you are coming to Malta 🇲🇹 , let me know. Doing with her interests me cause I might take Sharon too.
ОтветитьGreat video. That rain jacket by Outdoor Vitals looks amazing. Crow
ОтветитьHope you guys have an amazing trip and praying for safe travels. I am slowly falling in love OV products!!! Apologies for missing the live podcasts I’ve been working second shift but I’ve been watching the recordings. I ain’t trying to miss a good poop story.
ОтветитьOne tip you may want to think about is putting the zippers all the way down. If you happen to go through brush it will not catch and unzip tour pack. You are going to love the OV Satu pants. I wear mine daily, to work and around town. Jeremiah you may want to look into a pair of Satu for yourself. Enjoy your trip. Stay safe.
ОтветитьYou are going to have a lot of fun! I want to do that someday. I was hoping that I could just use one of those cheap and very lite electrical gender changers, that I usually throw out, which comes with some of my cell phones. I checked all my USB cubes and they all appear to make 5 volts DC from 100-240 AC @ 50-60 Hz. Least I hope it would work that way...
Ответитьim surprised you can fit all that in 45L bag
ОтветитьRemember to use that sunblock. Ouch! Put some aloe on your nose.
ОтветитьDefinitely take the umbrella for uv protection and will reduce the amount of sweat and water you carry. Good luck on the trip, guys. Enjoy Spain.
Ответитьyou guys are adorable!! have fun! I've been enjoying the Camino vicariously through this book: "I'll push you" by Patrick Gray and Justin Skeesuck. Highly recommend.
ОтветитьHas anyone heard from Jeremiah?
It's been a month since his last video.
Are they still out on the Camino?
That bag liner is going to make you no friends if staying in albergues. After 2 caminos I promise you that noise in the mornings while you pack is going to piss people off.
