The quest 3 should help a lot with any issues, and all for 1/3 the price

The keyboard is a huge issue for me. I'm sure Apple with have that sorted out for $3500.

Guess I'm going to try this with the Quest 3 in a week & a half. Good video.

Can you use a wired connection to your laptop for the displays to make it less laggy?

The 3 screens are just a tiny bit too big for me. As in, the 2 screens on the side are out of view so I have to turn my head. Does anyone know if it is possible to make them a little smaller?

They do map out many keyboards. In the settings try adding your keyboard.
If it is one of the supported keyboard, you get a perfect virtual keyboard in your space.

Have you tried any other VR for the same task? If can not see keyboard and if picture is in not high resolution then it's useless

and So far there are a few virtual matching keyboard. that will overlay.
But Not for my Alienware17.

So I use one that does matches, so I can see the letters and symbols

Thanks for this video. Was going to get one because I want a bigger screen for the mac while making music, and general other work tasks, but also so I can play vr on steam pc. If the headset display was better, then I may have got it. I already have vr for pc with the index which is great for racing games, which I only play, but want to replace it with a wireless solution and only have 1 headset. Maybe their next one or the apple vision might do, though I doubt apple will support steam pc.

im just gonna say I've used one, this guys neck would snap if he tried any other headset because the quest pro is super light, the audio is actually extremely good so his ears must suck and the display quality is pretty good too and clear enough to be suitable for reading even small text

About the heavness remember the Vision pro is said to be about 100 grams lighter at 700 grams or around around 1.5 pounds and the finale version of the land warrier combat helmet was 2KG or 4.5 pounds so I don't think if you able bodied and take breaks it's a deal breaker... As soldiers do it for hours a day and for a few months every day... But you need to take breaks as they suffer neck issues later in life from wear lighter helmets then land warrior. But yeah unless the vision pro is that much better I don't think it's time yet to ask "what's a computer?"

My personal preferred solution for the keyboard is the Tap strap.

You can do this with Breylon, it's a 3d desktop which you can hook onto your PC or computer.

Am i hallucinating or wasn't there an official product demo trailer to where they extended a laptop with multiple virtual monitors presented in mixed rrality to where one could see and fully operate their laptop??

I like the idea of extending my laptop and not trying to replace it, but replace the need to carry a docking station and several monitors around with me traveling internationally from office to office.

If i wasn't hallucinating please let me know and direct me to the tech demo. Perhaps i have gotten confused which product it was on

The keyboard mapping is functional for most modern mac versions and is working nicely for my logitech keyboard. Have you tried with your mac recently?

AR is atleast 5 years from quality UX, weight, resolution and optical issues are absolutely deal breakers. Nice to have gadget but far from 12 hour use per day

If you can't see well the outer environment the AR doesn't have any meaning. So not a VR nor an AR

If you had REPLACED your laptop you wouldn't have needed to worry about spilling drinks on it 🙄
