It is 16GB. 1GB is not a perfect 1000MB but rather 1024MB. SO to get the MB that 16GB would be, we do 16 * 1024

Its measuring in Gibibytes rather than Gigabytes, the Gibi, Mebi, Kibi system uses 1024x rather than 1000x when simplifying. They just use GB to make it easier for consumers to understand bc only Computer Science uses that system as opposed to the 1000x system which is more widely understood
