Have seen the historical looms, spinning wheels and etc. Tried a spinning wheel, a lot of skill required. Yep I was fumble fingers.

That’s about how far I got with the weaving process when my grandmother tried teaching me, yours might have looked a little better but then I was about 12 at the time so I’ll use that as my excuse ; -) give me a hammer and a saw if you want me to make something of course I don’t know how comfortable it will be to wear.
I had the Foxfire series of books (hillbilly living) as a young man, I gave them to a friend when I moved on the boat, it basically taught a person how to live off the land with some of the Appalachian culture mixed in. The first hide I tanned I did it straight from the book at about 12-13 years old, they came in handy during my reclusive years, not sure if I’ll ever do that again at least not willingly.
