🦴 You may be sick of people on the internet sharing how dangerous store bought raw hides can be, but until they are taken off the shelves, you’ll keep seeing posts like this one. Rawhide chews are extremely dangerous & should be avoided at all costs- they are bleached, glued together, & riddled with harmful chemicals that can cause irreversible damage to your pets once ingested.

😷 Another treat that has been around since the beginning of time, are milk bones.
Did you know, Smucker Manufacturing receives hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of pet treats from sources that do not perform any safety testing on products before selling it to the public?

😮 No regular safety testing on treats, no testing for drugs, & that coupled with the United States’ lack of enforcement of regulations that allow for the use of illegal, waste ingredients in pet foods & treats makes all of these boxed up biscuits a HARD PASS for me.

🦷 Dentastix are another treat I walk right past in the isle. They claim, “ these treats are clinically proven to promote oral health by reducing plaque and tartar buildup.” Am I to believe “Rice Flour, Wheat Starch, Glycerin, Chicken & Gelatin” make for a revolutionary toothpaste? I have found ingredients like this greatly contribute to the build up of tartar & plaque on pets’ teeth.

🪥 Gnawing & chewing on certain toys or chews can certainly aid in the reduction of plaque or tartar buildup, so if you’re on the hunt for a safe, healthy alternative, try natural hide!
