Harvesting honey with the Flow Frames is a gentle process and doesn't disturb the bees. 🐝🐝
While we collect honey from the back of the hive, the bees freely enter and exit through the front entrance. During periods when there is an abundance of nectar-filled flowers for the bees to gather from (known as a honey flow), they are more focused on foraging from the flowers rather than the honey being harvested. 🍯🐝
However, if there is a lack of nectar flow in your area, also known as a dearth,, the bees might show interest in the honey being extracted. In such cases, we recommend covering the jar with a beeswax wrap or a piece of mesh.
