How often do you play RS3 vs Old School? Gratz on the accomplishment!

i would play osrs but im someone who can nolonger deal with the classic visuals of the game, i wish they found a way to port over all the visuals from rs3 to os, keep everything else the same, but have the updated models and everything, one thing ive always hated about rs in the past was how they did the whole new combat rev and what not

Osrs with rs3 graphics will be amazing not gonna lie, i know already exists hdos and runelite hd but they are not the same graphics as rs3

They put that stupid goblin spin thing in the game and I left forever. Double xp was whatever and constitution was just 10X your normal HP so didnt really care. I did try RS3 on mobile for shitz n gigs but probably played for 10 minutes before I uninstalled and hadnt looked back.

OSRS is the only RuneScape. If it ain’t Old School it ain’t RuneScape.

I play both...and enjoy both for different reasons. I'm also looking forward to Leagues coming back....

100% agree they ruined "Runescape" when they started doing so much micro transactions, rs3 is complete poopy. OSRS for da win, also I wouldnt mind if they would make osrs look a bit more nice like rs3, and do more cosmetic changes like the skill cape hoods like you said. :)

Would you make video how many karambwanji and karambwans ironmen should go for? and also maybe add in it a bit of miscellania ironman guide to help a bit easier to make choises (herb max is rn what i got and mahogany is the half way) and how often you should go check on resources and make favor back to 100%

I think it's clear Jagex as a company are using RS3 as a cashcow. They already upset that original player base and the damage can't be repaired. Those who stay now, well I don't know.

I maxed on it before necromancy came out last year and it felt worthless because whilst I never purchased any spin packages, I did use the free daily spins and all the lamps and stars that helped me with exp. It felt like I'd just wasted my time.

With oldschool Runescape they're currently committed to keeping the integrity. I only hope that continues with the upcoming sale of Jagex

Tbh I quit osrs to play rs3 last year and Im enjoying it because Ive maxed a main and iron both on osrs and I got burnt out on my gim so i was just looking for a new experience and Im really enjoying rs3

I love rs3 pvm, main reason I keep playing, its fun crafting efficient rotations and getting very fast kills
They already released the quest leading to Vorkath last week, takes like an hour to complete

And we're getting Vorkath next month, lets hope it is good :)

Rs3 is trash. I left behind my maxed acc and had to restart on osrs, but its worth it. Only play occasionally but still 2k+ total and feels much better than 120s on rs3. Rs3 is a zoomer version of how the game should be played. Battle passes and free lvls practically. Double xp weekends😂😂😂😂 99% bots.

Damn RS3 looks like a generic mobile game. I miss my main but not going back at all. Can't play for more than 10mins.

The day comes for all of us. So many people are opposed to switching to Old School because they don't want to "start over" but I felt the same way before I realized that getting like 60 slayer on OS with a dragon scimitar and slayer helm made me feel really accomplished. Like way more than RS3 had made me feel in almost a decade. So much so that I didn't even mind starting a HCIM right there and doing the whole thing again and surpassing that first account. Way cooler than literally any RS3 goal that my brain could conceive. I just be looking at my herbs and stuff. Y'all don't know.

A couple of things:

1. You mention that rs3 isn’t really the way RuneScape was supposed to be, then immediately after you say you’ve played ironman for years on osrs. Ironman isn’t what RuneScape was meant to be. It’s an auxiliary game mode that is supposed to be fun precisely because you aren’t playing the game in the way you’re meant to.

2. You mention pay to win in rs3, especially with regard to the fact that you can get 99 without really training a skill. Please don’t forget that osrs also is pay to win. Josh strife Hayes has an excellent video where he explains why it’s more efficient to work a job and pay for bonds than actually play osrs. And as for getting a 99 without training the skill, I think bird houses fit that description: training what is functionally farming for hunter xp.

I always feel a bit of pain emotionally when I log in to RS3 which is something I barely ever do. I’m just reminded of the good old days when I see my old bank again set up just how I left it. It makes me sad to see my character, the same character that ran around in RS2, now stood behind pop-up windows for MTX 😢

I love OSRS, may it stand strong as a bastion and haven for old fans of the game.

I think the reason people dislike and hate rs3 is not the combat. The combat was just the reason years and years ago when eoc came out. These days its the aggressive pay money for exp insted of training ingame. Oh you got 99 something ? Took for 100 hours ? Kool i just bought 99 with keys etc. thats my opinion anyway
