Absolutely love Serena. Elena!!!! I wanted her to win a slam. She was one of the best players. She should have beat Pierce in the French open, but Mary pulled ‘an injury’ time out to stop Elena’s momentum. Great player!!

I dont think I can say it's the greatest of all time. It definitely is the greatest of that decade. (Venus/Davenport Wimbledon 2005 not withstanding) but Graf Seles 1992 French Open still reigns supreme.

I used to love watching Dementieva play. Her movement around the court is incredible, and her footwork is unsurpassed. Pity about her dodgy serve, she almost certainly would have been a multiple slam champ if her serve had been dependable.

I have to disagree, in my opinion the greatest match in women's history is the 2010 Australian Open 2nd round between Henin and Dementieva, you simply will not see better tennis than that.

Serena's serve is just a work of art and it saved her SO many times in her career. I remember watching this match live - It was so good that I ended up being 10 minutes late to my summer class! It was a true grand slam moment. You could hear a pin drop in the audience because the tension was so high.
