i want to upgrade my cpu (i7-3700 to a ryzen 5 4500) and i have a 1050ti, my gpu will struggle or not?

cpu and gpu needs to work together to get the highest frames possible and there is a thing called bottleneck if you get like a i9-13900k and a gtx 750 it will hold your cpu back and it wont let it use its full potential

For getter my high frames in general the cpu is the best thing to upgrade. Either way I would say it’s better to upgrade your cpu 1st as its better to be bottleneck by the gpu than the cpu

hello, can u guys help me answere this? motherboard is gigabyte b660m ds3h ddr4, i5 12400f, and gigabyte 3060, so why my fps when playing compe, my average fps only reach to 200, and it will drop when its to much ability out even can drop to 150 fps, i still dont get it, like my monitor 240 useless….

Simple just look your MOBO Chipset his Support PCIe gen 3.0 or 4.0. *Ex : when your PC using PCIe gen 3.0 and you Upgrading CPU PCIe gen 4.0 it is very good for FPS, but when your priority upgrade VGA RTX 3000 series in PCIe Gen 3.0 there will be useless

my cpu is trash.. Intel Pentinum with 8 gb ram no gpu... Still getting 120 fps ✌

I gain almost x2 FPS upgrading from Ryzen 7 3700X to Ryzen 5 5600X.
It was around 160-170 FPS then it jumped to about 300 FPS after upgrade.

or the cpu just bottlenecked the gpu? if you have a 3090ti and your cpu is. a rusted can of beans, i think you can see the problem

well yeah its because this game is cpu dependant i was using a r7 1700 and with a 1070ti and i upgraded my cpu to the 10900k and i went from like 150-200 fps to 500-600

Well it really depends on what CPU he had when he upgraded to 3090 because the cpu could've been bottlenecking it.
