Why doesnt up 10 dumping work on tour?

the house i play league in has really heavy oil and i dont have a stronger ball than my zen soul. i tried slowing down my shot but didnt get get any slower than 14mph-15mph. Do i need to get lower in speed to allow my ball to read?my rev rate is medium id think. i never put tape on my ball to find out

I had a big problem tonight. Left foot on 22 or 23 as normal ball goes over 12-13 at arrows out to 10 then can usually hit pocket. It was crossing Brooklyn tonight. I had to move to 30-31 with ball over 14 at arrows and hitting 10-12 to hit the 1/3 pocket. My ball usually doesn’t have that much hook I think it was the wet dry like you said I was using a IQ tour solid and switched to my gamer black widow hybrid 2.0. Way different conditions than league night.

Im old school... i move my feet instead of the mark... i have a medium hook with my original black widow ( throw round the third arrow ( righty) and stand first/second dot on left as far back as possible ( i have a fred flintstone walk/approach)

Another thing to keep in mind on League House shots is: Who are you bowling with? There are two people on my team who are older, they throw plastic only, and they just throw straight toward the head pin and don't hook it. So the carry-down from them actually means I'm moving to the right one or two boards over the three games. You'd think transition with everyone throwing reactive and hooking it would mean you move left during the night, but with those two bowling with me, it makes more sense for me to move slightly right by the third game, and not left. I''m speed dominant and play relatively straight anyway, but that's the move I need to make.

Let's also not underestimate the idea of balling down. Everyone wants to throw their new Jackyl or Gem, but theres a reason they make balls like the Hustle series.

I laughed so hard about the straight shooters on house shots, so true, if you can perfect it, it’s deadly..im a natural curver, so I can struggle against a PERFECT straight shooter. But I haven’t played on any other oil patterns, yet, I’m excited to see what I can do other patterns.

How come I can't hook the ball unless I line up on the right side and hit the 5 board. This means if I miss my spot it can end up in the gutter. What does "House Shot" mean?

Perfect video. My friend and I were struggling in league where the house shot is medium to light volume with a lot of friction along the sides. We opened up too much and sent the balls out instead of the “paralleling” that Brad was talking about.

I ended up taking my spare ball and just playing up 5 and was striking more consistently.

In my house shot a lot of times its opposite. Lot of oil on the outside part of the lanes and not so much on the inside. How do i play in these conditions?

Thanks for the video! Still not sure what can help me! I like to be an "Up 10 Dumper" (or 5 or 13). I go around 13 on most Sport Shots and do very well. However, I usually get to bowl weekends on old REAL wood lanes. They are oiled once weekly and the weekends are scorched dry hell! Just about anything is a direct hook to the 7 pin. 2 handers with monster revs and hand have no problem. Me at 64, not much hand, 14 mph am a different story. Today after wasting two games (one under 100) decided to use dad's 1968 Ebonite Tornado rubber! Straight to the pocket from the corner the way he taught me in '68. If it hadn't been for a couple of chopped spares i'd have broken 200! 181. I want to hook the bowl and be 2022 but i'm just not getting it! I have a Roto-Grip Hyped Hybrid. Apparently that ball is much too strong for these lanes. It does pretty well on the synth lanes in the next town. What can I do for a hooking normal ball on the old fried REAL wood lanes? just crushed my high score and bowled a 247 just with this strategy, been bowling for about 3 months now and seeing crazy more consistency with this, i gotta say though sometimes its more fun to hook the whole lane ;)

Better advice. Learn how to play on dust because more and more houses are giving up on putting down oil. Last time I went out to the local bowlmore, my plastic only made it about 10 feet down the lane before biting

Great video. I bowl in a local league and found that a lot of time, straighter angles help me strike more. I use both urethane and resin and I'm going to try this when I practice over the summer. Thanks guys!

this video touches on a great point i need more help understanding! i am a lefty and when my line breaks down i have to move my feet right. but i have always kept my same target line. what is the ration for moving your eyes with your feet? is it a 1:1 ratio?

I’m a senior age 65 intermediate (200) average bowler and struggle playing steeper inside lines. Some tips on lining up on approach while squaring up to target at release would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Brad and Kyle.

I'm attending a company night out, and guess what...we are going bowling. I've never bowled in my life, but with the help of your tutorial videos, hopefully, I'll be victorious. PS, when do I release my grip on the ball after the run up?

How do you achieve this for a backup bowler such as myself? I get a lot of tips on this channel for the "normal" bowler, but for the unorthodox bowler, some of these tips are hard for me to adjust my play due to how I throw. I'm a right handed bowler throwing backup. Thanks in advance for any input! And love your channel and you both!!! ❤️

We called it bowling on an over/under condition! The ball over hooks outside and under hooks inside!

I needed this. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I’ve returned to bowling (competitively) since my teen days. I bowled a 184, and when my family and I bowled in the house pattern, I guttered almost every shot, and finished with a 79. Ooooch!!!! Will definitely try this strategy. I’ll give you an update.
