CARLY SIMON My New Boyfriend REMIX

A further attempt to post a mid 80's dance clip - (thanks youtube for blocking Laura Branigan's 'Maybe Tonight' extended version). Onwards and upwards - here is Carly Simon's 1985 synth pop gem 'My New Boyfriend' and an extended remix. Lifted from her 'Spoiled Girl' LP, the song, along with 'Tired Of Being Blonde' was mid 80's Carly at her most poppy. Her next release: the beautiful 'Coming Around Again' was quintessential Carly. I don't think the public were ready or interested in synthesised Carly Simon and neither single managed to make much of a dent on charts around the world, but I loved both songs and am a huge Carly Simon fan - her voice being a familiar accompaniment to my childhood and indeed adulthood. There will never be another singer/songwriter like her.
