Mu fav band.. i seen them in syd ns where i live. there was nobody at the show.. i just want to say for what its worth. It was the best live performance I ever seen. I seen pearl jam , metallica , bryan adams , tragically hip , matchbox 20 , guns and roses and by far the glorious sons put on the best performance I ever seen live. Nobody was at the show but for me personally It was like a a performance dedicated just for me.. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I remember when this song came out i told my mom about it and sang the lyrics from the hook. She didnt like it. Or at least she didnt respond well and quickly tried to move away from talking about it. At the time i didnt fully understand. But years later it became much more clear why she responded the way she did. It resonated with her as well, but she wasnt prepared to hear it said so open and honestly, and i didnt care to hear the truth. See my mom was an Rn who lost her job and became one of millions to become addicted when oxycontin hit the pharmacies. She lost her job. And all the other parts happened to me as well...losing the job. The lights. She lost her cars. And i was also starting my own opiate addiction path with oxys and other hydrocodone. But the difference between us...was that last lyric. The shotgun. The thought of suicide. The urge to retake control by taking my own life, feeling like that was the last thing i could actually control. I was so lost. In deep. And as time went on, we both got worse and worse. I started using everything. Every pill i could take of any kind. It was really bad. Then years later after she had somehow regained control of her life and was in the early stages of recovery, i was still wide open. And after she started slowing down and having sober lengths of time, all the shit that had happened to her, and all the shit she knew subsequently affected me, started to be remembered and brought out of the foggy depths that is opioid memories. It hurt her. But shes not the type talk about it and take fault, much less apologize for anything. Instead she recoils and runs from the convo. If you press the issue, she gets angry and reclusive. So when i sang the lyrics...it took her offguard hard. At the time i didnt get it fully. But after that, she slowly made larger and more serious efforts to get sober. I guess it scared her. And all that shit...is the life and memories that literally the majority percentage of millennials have also had. Big pharma and the MIC tried to destroy our lives, and in some cases...they succeeded. Fuckers deserve death.
