I’m gonna try to form a story here based on other comments



Once upon a time, there was a kid who we will call Eugene. Eugene’s home life was for the lack of a better term, bad. Dad boozed up 24/7, absent mom, horrible stuff. Down enters a mischievous fox spirit in my humble little tale. It was sealed away eons ago by a warrior (Eugene’s ancestor), and was trying to find a new target, and found Eugene coincidentally. One rather foggy night, Eugene was trying to get away from his Dad. The fox spirit saw an opportunity to manipulate this kid. It snuck a thought into Eugene’s brain to go to the bamboo forest where it’s shrine was sealed. Eugene naturally followed what his mind told him to do and the sly fox spirit appeared as a woman in a kimono with a medium-sized ponytail and white hair. The fox spirit started to love bomb Eugene as they met up in secret by the shrine. Eventually, The fox spirit started to get attached to Eugene (platonically, you freaks.). Eventually, the fox spirit sealed a curse on Eugene’s dad that shortly killed him after as revenge for mistreatment of its friend. After that, Eugene visited the humanoid Visage of the spirit more then ever. Time passed, and on the anniversary of the first time they met, the fox spirit convinced Eugene to try a “cool game (ritual to turn Eugene into a spirit)”, Eugene got turned into a spirit like his friend, and the two spent their time as a pair, doing spirit things and letting other spirits, Animal and human join in any spirit games.


There we go! I’m not the best writer so it kinda sucked, but I’m still pretty proud of it!

It took me a while to realise the story behind the fantasy aspect. I know there are a lot of more positive theories for the story, but I wanted to consider a different one. I think that song is about ab4se and manipulation, and how it played with the childs mind. The fox could possibly be a representation of the parent or a friend of the child. The child lies often, and is not very trustworthy, so they seek a companion who believes them regardless of what lies they told. The companion ends up destroying the childs mind in some way.

i dont know how,but i relate to this song..the lonely fox calls the child "good" because its anxious it might leave her,the same way many people [ including me ] feel afraid their loved ones might leave. im having problems with the distrust of others and people leaving me and this song comforts me like no other..its like i feel theres a personification of that fox helping me with the same issue it suffers from,and it feels genuinely nice even knowing that its not real and instead its just me trying to feel better :)
