India’s First ever Agri Export Policy Explained #Export #India #PMModi

Raising farmers income, doubling it by 2022, the aim of present Government couldn’t be possible without market reforms. Enabling farmers to sell their produce at right place and at right time would eventually halve their distress. With suitable policy reforms in domestic market, now India sets to tap its export market with the launch of maiden ‘Agricultural Export Policy, 2018’.

Government has come out with a comprehensive ‘Agricultural Export policy’ aimed at doubling the agricultural exports and integrating Indian Farmers with the global value chain, Commerce Minister Suresh Prabhu briefed that “The Policy aims at doubling Agricultural shipments from present 30 billion USD to over 60 billion USD by 2022” and he further added that achieving the target was double. Export policy received the cabinet nod on December, 2018.
