A pity the scanner is not a built in feature that uses your cars touch screen.

I just got this from the Play Store for free using my Play Pass subscription and I'm still not quite sure how to set it up... How do you add auto temp to the main screen

I have one of these and have added the PID codes for transmission temp and can see the dial in the dashboard but cant get it read the temp. Any clues?

Mate, Firstly love the videos. I purchsed the Obd2 and car scanner app but cant get the trans temp to operate, everything else connected no problems. Any tips?

Nice video there mate I used the car scanner app which was good with my Volvo V40 d2 and had the preloaded defaults. For the obdII reader I used a Vgate icar PRO BLE 4.0, which worked with car on an iPad. I was able to diagnose and fix a clogged EGR valve and test the operation after repair. Would like to see a video of the app, and full live parameters explained.

So the Car Scanner App is the best one then?

Cant get the ATF Temp to work for the life of me. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Hi Adam, got all the gear you recommend, set up the screen just like you have done. My question is how do I find out what parameters I need to set each sensor too( highs and lows)? I have a current model MUX so engine is the same as the Dmax. I will be towing so coolant temp and transmission temp are what I really want to monitor. Cheers Jeff

Adam, I went into my settings on Torque and I have no PID settings for the 2021 Dmax. Where do you get them from? I purchased both the Torque Pro and the OBD2 Aust device (from your link). Can you advise please mate?

I purchased a mid range mini tablet that i use just for this and so i can still use phone etc through the stereo.

Is there anyway we can find a list of what is considered normal values so then we can see if things like boost, fuel pressures etc are low or high readings.

I'd love to be able to see my trans temps but i get no readout on those guages. Other telemetry works fine but can't get trans temp any ideas? Using Car Scanner Pro wirh android and the mini OBDII reader in your list.

Another great video Adam. Fortunately, this one didn't tempt me to buy a new expensive farnarkle! I've been using Car Scanner Pro (Apple) for a while but cannot locate the TCM ATF in the sensor list. Is that a special addition only on Android? Or did you create a special PID?

Good timing. I've been using car scanner pro as I find it picks up more sensors than torque. However, when it's running, android auto grinds to a halt on my phone/head unit. At least it seems to be related. I think I've just reached the limit of the handset as it does get pretty hot. Might need to use a separate handset for each task. FLM

Nice video question will this rest my tire pressure light 2021 Volkswagen Jetta I have an aftermarket radio I used to be able to rest it trough that I also took it in to the dealership they couldn’t scan it either they said only trough the factory stereo?

Hi mate from what I understand only the android head units can use the app directly from the source. The Kenwood's have a screen mirroring function which would work I'm sure the alpines would as well which could be an option? Also i did see somewhere someone putting a PID code for trans temp with the torque pro not sure if it is possible or not?

I use Torque Pro to monitor the DPF level in my Hilux, it’s one of the hundreds of sensors you can scan. I added a few custom PID codes to watch the auto converter and pan temps of the transmission.
