Should we be domesticating wild animals?
Ответитьi love the desire to grow closer to animals… but i sometimes think that us humans should be evolving back so we can get closer. i’m not against domestication, however, i do think nature needs to be nature in many places at the end of the day
ОтветитьIs there any way I could get one?
ОтветитьThe next step is to extend the criteria for being allowed to breed: Don't let the foxes in to indoor "Scheiße Sport" breed!
ОтветитьHow to accustom Russians to civilization? They were very aggressive and slowed down development in the Middle Ages...
🇨🇦🇺🇦🪖✌️
Won’t be truly pet-capable until we can train ‘em to either wait to go out to pee, or pee in a litterbox.
ОтветитьIn other words… Foxes are going to be a normal pet in a near future?
ОтветитьLet me use a quote from one of the Batman movies. “It’s not nice to fool with Mother Nature”.
ОтветитьYou talk about domestication syndrome after the video. No thought of that during the video
ОтветитьPitbull hates said that owning pack a domestic wild dogs like(Foxes, Cayotes, Jackel, Hyena, Dingos.and Wolf,) is like owning a danger and aggressive Pitbull.
ОтветитьFoxes are more like a cross between a cat and a ferret. They smell, they destroy everything, they need vast amounts of space and pee and poo everywhere. Leave wild animals in the wild
ОтветитьWhat a load of rubbish I know people in the uk that have had foxes as pets for over 20 years
Ответитьfor sure this one is not first
ОтветитьDogs didn't evolve from wolves. It's the other way around.
ОтветитьFoxes meh…. I wan’t a real life teddy bear! 🧸
Ответитьi love foxes so gosh darn much!
ОтветитьWith human expansion, population grown and encroachment onto lands, a sort of domestication happens. We are living side by side anyway. I bumped into a beautiful grey and black fox pup (huge tail) in my driveway the other night. It was about 10 feet from me, it was stopped looking at me, it sniffed the air and just walked off. Maybe a 3-5 second encounter. Very unexpected Special moment!
ОтветитьFirst domesticated fox? We've a time traveller on our hands!
Besides that cheeky comment, the difference between domesticated and tame is blurry in this story.
fox being mischievous ??? who woulda thunk.
ОтветитьMan you have weird looking cat
ОтветитьIs it really possible to domesticate foxes like dogs? We've domesticated cats but their behavior is different from that of dogs.
Maybe that's just how foxes are behavior wise, they just can't/won't act like dogs.
Food for thought
The fact that these foxes were selectively bred only for “domestic behavior” genes does not mean that those are the only genes that changed over the course of a century. Being in captivity for that many generations would undoubtedly have numerous effects on the expression of other traits that would not have led to success in the wild.
ОтветитьNow everyone can use foxes as pets
ОтветитьThe fact i cant keep them as a muslim.
ОтветитьBullshxxt title
ОтветитьEventually if it ever becomes hyper-social we should stop calling them foxes and call them funny looking dogs.
ОтветитьI have seen MANY domesticated foxes, for MANY years. These are NOT NEARLY the FIRST DOMESTICATED FOXES.
Still, this videos does indeed broach the history of this phenomanon.
Fun fact. Some native american tribes in the past have trained foxes to bond with people by feeding then and they kept them around the encampment as what I guess would be called a "pet"
ОтветитьNo VS, you guys aren't "the first to domesticate a fox". All you have is a fox as a house pet. It's wild instincts are things you have to deal with everyday and night while off camera. Don't kid yourself.
Ответить^w^ adorable!
ОтветитьThose poor fox..stuck in a cages with wires for the ground. Ugh so sad
ОтветитьGive me a domesticated bear. Now.
ОтветитьWe finally know what the fox says, it speaks russian
ОтветитьCan we make pet foxes a thing now
Ответитьi need fox
Ответитьsoviets in films and games hitman
soviets irl dog foxes
Copper, you're my best friend.
And you're mine too, Todd
The domestic animals are not domestic because they are not being agressive and fearful over men. Some of them are, some of them are not. But they are docile. And that a wild animal will never be.
ОтветитьDid they breed the stink out of these domesticated foxes? Thats one thing that would make or break
ОтветитьOh for Fox sakes... LOL this is pretty cool.
ОтветитьI have a dream of wolf sized fox as pet
Maybe too big of a dream but still one of my biggest one
Really interesting. Thank you🦊😊.
ОтветитьIsn't that just a dog?
ОтветитьProbably don’t want to own a Fox and raise chickens, too….
ОтветитьI think Russians must cuntinue selecting foxes for the next one thousand years to have a chance to replace man's best friend
Ответитьi would love to be tested.
Ответитьi liek foxes
ОтветитьI wonder if similar experiments could be performed on zebras, rhinos, ravens, elephants....kangaroos?
ОтветитьI've started domesticating crocodiles, the results so far are promising, but It's hard to write it all down with one arm
Ответить
