Just followed this video and the one befor using Gimp, image R and inkscape.. Dpi set to 254 and levels after test to 204 and what a differance. Using a picture of a wolf that the misses helps with at weekends. wish i could put a picture on here. Gimp was a bit fiddly to make the boxes

Just come across your video for engraving on slate, read the comments and then found this video. Two very informative videos that you have done. I'm currently in the process of doing some testing with slate. Would it be possible to get a copy of the spreadsheet also please?
I don't have access to Photoshop and have a limited knowledge of Gimp, but will give it a go.

Can you help me I have a BW Photo I am trying to engrave on slate Jarvis and stuck are gritty looking grey scale looks great in the window however as I preview it in lightburn there is no pic showing up and every inch on slate is engraved rather that the photo itself.. I’m at a loss this is a new laser upgraded from my A10 to A20 atomstack

Just come across this video after watching the tutorial, glad i found this as it didn't work for me first time round as i used the actual grey scale pallete. Should this go through image r after before printing?

Thank you for this video. Could you use this chart to make a burn test to be used on a canvas with different colors applied to the canvas then a blackout to cover the colors?
