Patch 1 made the breath weapon for Dragonborn scale with their level
ОтветитьWhen I created my main character I play on Bg3 I wanted to create the character I have in an actual dmd session Im in with my friends. The thing is that my dnd version is a goliath, but bg doesnt have the race so I chose drow for how similar it looked to me based on the skin color of the base character you get to customise and then I got surprised by the admiration I got from the goblins in the goblin camp 💀
ОтветитьWhy are the starter characters all wearing clothes made by the same company?
Yi ti have distribution in the West of Toril?
shout out Drizzt
Ответить"You will play Githyanki, and you will be happy."

My first playthrough right now I'm playing good human wizard (basic, i know). Second playthrough the plan is to play evil dickhead Duergar crossbow/bow user
ОтветитьNo one ever mentions that Goblins fear and respect Drows on sight. USEFUL
ОтветитьI'm actually salty they nerfed the alternate human from the book so hard, they should have a feat at level 1. They are actually very weak choice, stat wise, Githyanky literally do the same thing but better. I'm glad I chose human for my first playthrough, but it feels like they made them weak on purpose so people wouldn't play them
ОтветитьI’m so going to just make pike trick foot from critical role because of funy short person
ОтветитьI recommend the unleashed mods series for really good improvements to the races and classes.
ОтветитьIm a dragonborn druid its awesome. Oracle of the moon subclass
ОтветитьI really like how you acknowledge that picking based solely on how cool they look is entirely valid
ОтветитьI feel like Dragonborn should have a Slashing bonus to unarmed attacks
ОтветитьBro how you gonna say my green kings and queens aren't smokeshows
ОтветитьI chose half elf drow and its been super useful for exploration
Ответитьi made a wood gnome for beast master i was kinda conflicted with wanting to elf for the movment speed happy i did not with dash and some spells it makes up for it but you gain talk to animals for free so saves a spell slot for you or a team mate witch i think is a better choice
ОтветитьWhere in the nine hells is THE GOLIATHS?!?
ОтветитьI hope they add more races like Goblins, Orcs (not half), half-other races (tiefling, dragonborn) etc.
ОтветитьBeing a Druidic Drow in the first settlement is kinda hilarious
ОтветитьI wouldn't mind making a Githyanki, but the males look almost emaciated
ОтветитьNo Goblin race? Sad 😥
ОтветитьGithyanki and Orc seems to be a step above all the rest.
My friends and I also are quite disappointed by the lack of a fitting Dwarf and Orc voices for your character. Not cool.
And they should really add a "hide cloak" option as with helms, cause certain races look really bad in cloaks, mostly Tieflings and Dragonborn.
I just hate Giths and their attitudes in the story. I immediately slayed them all on my dwarf barb, as well as the city of grymforge
ОтветитьVery informative! Thanks
Ответитьdragonic bloodline gets armor but dragonborne don't. wtf
ОтветитьWell kinda want to do a next playthrough with dark urge halfling thief/bard and roleplay this as Bilbo Baggins tryin to resist the ring :d
Or do the pure evil dark urge gnome necromancer for gigs xd
So many possibilities and i dont even have time to finish the first playthrough
I’m going to assume humans are the most numerous race and pick them, hopefully being human let’s me reason with other humans
ОтветитьThe other benefit of githyanki is that their appearance, abilities, and lore are similar enough to mudokons that you can pretend you're playing Oddworld 5.
ОтветитьI picked a deep gnome rogue for stealth proficiency and so that Karcach could throw her at the enemy while enraged, which is hilarious.
ОтветитьDragonborn just looks to cool to not be picked. So im playing multiple runs with different people at the time but one of them is a dragonborn necromancer
ОтветитьProbably a stupid question, but aren't Gnomes an avoided race for Ceromorphosis? I think any Humanoid shorter than 5ft causes issues with the transformation.
ОтветитьOnly problem is that there’s no goliath race ;-;
ОтветитьDragonborn looks so badass.
Ответить"Amazing, so many different species and classes now!"
creates human fighter
I do hope they incorporate monster races as a future dlc or update. I want to play a kobold so bad!
Ответитьi wish that dragonborn breath would scale with just the character level
Ответитьi went as a fighter human i hope i didnt mess up
Ответить... I thought gnomes had more of a "normal" or slink stature compared to halflings.
But it looks like they took the same body model for both races with only the ears indicating what you are looking at :(
With Half High Elves, I wish we were given the choice between the weapon proficiencies High Elves get and the cantrip....that would have made the race more flexible.
Sadly, that wouldn't work out for Half Wood Elves, because there is no practical reason why you would trade movement speed bonus + free proficiency in exchange for a few weapon proficiencies....even on a caster build !
half elf had by far the least dialogue options
Ответить"Maybe the real critical throw was the friends we made along the way"
~Deep Gnome
Githyanki wizard, amazing! I can use magic, big swords and protect myself.
ОтветитьIts weird seeing Americans unironically use Feet instead of meters, at first I was like 40 meters darkvision! why is he complaining that it's too little but then I saw feet and ahhh makes sense.
ОтветитьWhat’s a good race for bard?
ОтветитьSuch a shame you cant play as a Githzerai, playing through Planescape Torment and fell in love with Dak'kon, who is easily my favorite character, the Gith lore and culture is super cool. It would have been nice to see them as a sub-race and to see conflicts between the Githzerai and Githyanki.
ОтветитьHope they add more races I'd love to play as a Shadar Kai. Blessing of the Raven Queen gives a 30 foot teleport which is always useful and resistance to necrotic damage
ОтветитьI don't understand why they didn't use the Dragonborn from the Fizban's Treasury supplement book for DnD5e.
In that book the Dragonborn's breath attack was reworked to be used multiple times a day depending on your proficiency bonus, it only replaces one attack roll in a multi-attack, and the damage scales up with player level. In the same book the Dragonborn elemental resistance also comes with an active ability portion where you become immune to that damage type for 1 minute per long rest (8 hour rest, ie daily).
The Dragonborn was the least used race in the base player's manual in 5e, which is why Wizard's of the Coast reworked them in the dragon themed book. I'm also surprised that there isn't a kobold and/or goblin player race in BG3, those races are extremely popular and adds a bit of semi-monstrous races; although it's required to have dwarf and halfling as the base small races. I hope they add kobolds in an expansion and gives them some sort of Pack Tactics since 5e kobolds were notorious for abusing that racial trait before they were reworked in Fizban's.
