Shame cause the show is officially now in decline.

I love this episode so much! I was really sad about The Hound being left to suffer and die, I had a soft spot for him after he took care of Arya. Shae being in Tywin's bed was definitely a shock! I'm so glad that Tyrion escaped though, I might have stopped watching if he had died.

I do believe that Shae truly did love Tyrion up until he called her whore and that he didn’t love her only to get her to leave and be safe. She felt totally betrayed and turned on him then, going to Cersie and Tywin for the trial and that’s when she got with Tywin. My take on it anyway.

They shouldve stuck with tyrions line from the book. "I'm you writ small."

Tyrion went to see his father because Jaime told him that his wife Tysha was just that, just a young lover with a very tender heart. Tyrion told Jaime that he had killed Joffrey and went to see his father. No se porque omitieron este hecho TAN IMPORTANTE

The show unfortunately leaves out a lot of magical stuff. For example: all the stark children being wargs, glass candles, jamies weirwood dream he gets sleeping against a weirwood stump, quaithe plotline, and lots more.

I believe that the Shae thing didn’t happen until after they concocted the lie about him and she was so angry and Tyrion she started boning his dad.

Tywin couldn't do anything against cersei and jaime.. he needed them both.. Also he wants power so he couldn't out the fact that tommen is a bastard either.. that would mean he would lose his claim on the throne too.. so for now tywin was kinda stuck and it was a small victory for cersei..
also i always felt jaime was glue of lannister family.. Every lannister loved him and he loved all his family members back. So him freeing tyrion makes sense.. jaime and tyrion always had a good relationship since childhood.. there were hints of that which i realised in 2nd-3rd watch..
1) tyrion chose jaime as his fighter when he was captured by Lady Catlyn cause he trusted his brother..
2) cersei told jaime 'you always pitied him, hated by his father and sister' which shows he had soft corner for tyrion since childhood
3) in oberyn's story if we focus he said 'cersei pinched your cock so hard i thought she might pull it off untill your brother made her stop'. So unlike cersei, jaime was never vicious towards tyrion and protected him from the start.

One of my favorite things about this universe is that the fantasy element is definitely there, but often in the background. I'm not a big fantasy guy, but I love this dynamic. Some of the fantasy stuff, like dragons, are more in your face, but the world around them isn't something like Lord of the Rings. I love that.

One of my top 3 favorite finales. Tywin played his last game of thrones on a throne. You win or you die.

Fun fact: the finale aired on Father’s Day in 2014.

Another Emmy Award worthy performance for Peter Dinklage! The reason he didn’t leave immediately was Tyrion wanted to confront Tywin on why he sentenced him to die knowing he was innocent. Tyrion was willing to risk his chance of escape to gain closure on the issue.

Some months later after Father’s Day, they showed the last two episodes of Season 4 in select IMAX theaters! The surround sound system was incredible! Because of that and even though I already seen it, the sound of that crossbow going off startled me! Jumped out of my seat a little.

(Tyrion) "Oh get on with it, you son of a whore" (Jamie) " Is that any way to speak about our mother"

There's a lot of things they changed from the books. Some I'm not a huge fan of, some are magic. In the books Brienne and the Hound never meet. That fight between them is a thing of magic. Not only is it an amazing fight, but it really solidifies how strong Brienne is, that she defeated the Hound, and also it really affirms the shift in the Hound from opportunist to guardian. He doesn't say pleasantries. He doesn't mince words. So when he says "Aye That's what I am doing", You know he actually means it. Finally, Arya coming to terms with truly being on her own. She's bounced from guardian figure to guardian figure Since Ned died and each one has offered her help and wisdom and each one has died. With the hound though as much of a bastard as he was, he personified the undefeatable guardian. Who had Armor and a big fuggin sword. She just ran out of alive family members, no where is safe. and now the Despicable but dependably strong guardian is there broken and dying and she is realizing that she is truly alone. She has to do what she needs to survive. She takes his coin because he won't need it and it echoes the farmers and she knows there was some truth in it and she despises him for it. So she doesn't kill him. Why dull her blade. It's part spite and part cold calculation and partly that she doesn't hate him anymore. But she also doesn't love him. She simply understands him and the world he inhabits and the struggle between the ideals she was raised on and the hard reality of life clashing in her head, she just lets it all go. Walks away from it. It's crazy how much character development they give in that one fight. Glorious.

"I don't know where the hounds loyalty is coming from" you missed his character development and the development of him and Aryas relationship completely? - Jamie rescues Tyrion "Why? I kinda thought it would be Tywin" ... ... I don't understand how you can miss you many character beats.

As Joffrey's sworn guard he had no choice but to do what Joffrey said early in the show. The hound originally took Arya for the chance for gold. Through their travels, the hound taught Arya some hard truths about the world that she was sheltered from by being a girl from a noble family and she taught him by showing him you can be good yet ruthless when you really needed to be . They both grew so much in their travels together. ( People think different things about her walking away from the hound, but my opinion is that the hound was no longer on her list of names.)

Remember on Joffrey's wedding day, Cersei pointed out Shae to Tywin and said, "She's the one I told you about." Tywin directed Cersei to have Shae brought to his chambers in the Tower of the Hand after the wedding. Varys then warned Tyrion that Shae was in danger, and that's why Tyrion sent her away to Essos. But she was either intercepted before making it to the ship, or she was taken off the ship before it could set sail.
Obviously, we didn't see any of this onscreen, but it's pretty clear she made a deal with Tywin. Probably her life in exchange for her testimony against Tyrion, which she gave, thinking Tyrion had never loved her and was only using her the whole time. In her mind, she was a woman scorned. She probably offered herself to Tywin, seeing the advantages of becoming The Hand's mistress, and he accepted. It was a convenient arrangement for them both. Until Tyrion showed up. lol
