How do you get that warthog to go fast with out sliding? That's what I want to know. I'm playing on an Xbox x with the game pad. I haven't tweaked my controls or anything. But I do know that it's too slow to make that jump to get to the plane at the end. When they remastered, they should have remastered the traction on that thing. The thing will slide and rollover. I can't get enough speed to get that final jump. What can you tell me?

Followed the walkthrough all the way until the engine room, then the game decided I was having too much fun and wouldn't let me jump back up after destroying the first reactor. Between the Sentinels harrassing me and the Flood not giving me any room to breathe, leading to me dying repeatedly in a short span of time, I lost my temper before cooling off and deciding to restart from scratch.
In other words, f**k whoever thought the engine room encounter design was in any way fair on Legendary. I'm not sure how much of it is my own stupidity, how much of it is the game itself, and how much of it is the busted-ass Gearbox port.

Edit: Second attempt, f**k the cryo chamber. Took me forever to get past the infinite Flood spawner with the rocket launcher and full health, but I pulled it out of my ass eventually. Only catch was that I couldn't grab the overshield because it's right where the Flood spawn. Seriously, who designs and playtests these levels, looks at an infinite Flood spawner in a tight hallway with no room to dodge and decides, "Yeah, that's fair."?

Thank you hokiebird for making halo guides. 7 years ago i was that halo noob and now ive found myself able to complete the games on legendary with little to no issues. Hope you are doing well put there.

Within last year I finally beat it on legendary. Always played on normal before. Man legendary was tough haha but a lot of fun

i saw once a very interesting comment but i don't remember in which video about the 343 Guilty spark level i saw it, in theis comment a guy said: "why a futuristic army like the UNSC would use a old-fashionned classical pump-action shotgun while it should be a semi-auto or automatic firing one?" yeah i admit i share the same question so i ask it here. any interesting answer? don't mind my grammar faults please.
awaiting an answer, i have however my own suppositions: perhaps because the pump shotguns are less expensive to make (handy during war times) than others with automatical fire, and also more reliable and accurate. plus i learned somewhere that the UNSC shotgun shoots 10 gauge, it's huge as a firepower, imagine shooting such a caliber in semi or auto it would blow out the gun or causing an uncontrolable recoil . so i guess it's way practical in pump action. also it feel satisfying than semi or auto fires, in a game like that. i wonder what do you think so

Waste your back up ammo faster reloading when you have 45 ammo in your gun people play games should know that irresponsible irritating real soldiers don’t fight like that, wouldn’t need ammo for shotgun if you kept remaining ammo in your gun reload your gun until all ammo is empty from gun

Today I finished halo ce for the first time, I'm 25.

I find it interesting that when you jump into the warthog, you have to drive 2km in order to reach where the pelican will pick you up, and then another 1km to get in the fighter. Yet according to the wiki, the Pillar of Autumn is 1.1km long. Also, where's that giant gap in the ship where the pelican shows up?

Man Just finished halo CE campaign for the first time. I did it solo legendary and your vids def helped a lot bro, thanks you. At this point I’ve done all of the campaigns on solo legendary and I definitely Think that halo CE is the hardest. I don’t get why everyone says that H2 is.

Dude every mission was a labyrinth there was no direction each mission I’d probably spend a total of 20-30 min running around trying to get to the next checkpoint I finally had it on the last mission cuz I just spent about 15 minutes trying to get to the third floor only to find out watching the video that I’ve passed the door to get up there probably about 60 times

So I was never an Xbox guy and I never played the Halo games (except multiplayer at friend's houses) so when I got a Series X I wanted to play through it. I understand it's a 20 year old game but my god there are parts of the first Halo that are so tedious. Literally the same rooms/corridors and enemies over, and over, and over again.

It was definitely a slog getting through but I finished it. Now on to Halo 2.
