The story of this film was great but Suzume is the most selfish and annoying main protagonist I have ever seen in an anime movie

this is really reminiscent of Children who chase lost voices, a Shinkai movie I absolutely loved! There are so many similarities in this trailer alone, I didn't even know CWCLV was from Shinkai as well, but I was immediately reminded. From the cat to the portals to the theme of life and death (as it seems)... I can't wait to watch this one now, even if I'm late to the party.

I loved the movie! It was great and everything was there, it was adventurous, thrilling, romantic and interesting!! I was searching anime music , then i stumbled upon Suzume Theme Song, i fell in love with the song. So i searched Suzume and found out that it was a anime movie. I started watching it. It was an amazing movie, i loved the story.

I just watched the movie and I did not expect to be ugly crying over D A I J I N

I cried the HARDEST for the little daijin cat. 🥺

Makoto's films are becoming stereotypical, boy meets girl, and they save the world. Makoto should get out of his comfort zone.

Disney needs to take lessons from Japanese anime they can tell a story abd happily be honest about were Disney uses the same tired troups stupid crude/rude humor included

The visual my gooooddddd the visuals...it's just on a whole other level, the dew on the leaves, the little crack and moss on the stones, the details on the city....and the songs. Definitely gon watch this again.

I didn't think about the love , but just didn't want him to be the sacrifice after setting his life aside for such task

I liked this movie
But, I think that romance (or love between Suzume and soita) was underdeveloped
Like, without any past indication,
She suddenly says, I can't live in a world without souta.
Like, you just met that guy?
Okay, he saves the world but the world is safe now yk? You could be fine with it but no, you wanna gamble all the human's life with one person

So, yea, it could have been a bit deeper
Although, i think the movie had been fine had that line not been there in the movie.
Something along the line, I dont want to loose someone as nice as him, or I cant stand to loose him, even if theres one percent chance, please help me save him.
