That. Is such a sad sing and so true .but there're soldiers that do make it home . Some can be in a coma or seriously hurt and make it back home. There should be a remake of this song .. when a soldier comes knowing on her door and her father's opens up the door and ask for her as she comes to the door she runs into his and her father and mother say welcome home and the family.

To think the Dixie Chick's lost their careers because they made a a bad comment about our country, or something? Had it been complimentary "toward" a foreign dictator, like a previous U,.S. president often does, would that have saved their careers? It seems it has fared well for him without repercussions. I apologize for inserting it in a sacred place as this, but it is relevant in a way. This entire program should be heard by everyone. It will melt the hearts of anyone loving freedom and democracy, thanks to you all!

Our military family covered every branch of the military at one time or another. No one lost their life, thank God! I had the honor of serving myself, as a WAC during the Korean War, not in harm's way though, as an office clerk.

I serve 28 years in the military in the Air Force one of those years was in Laos where I served and worked with the Special Forces people the Green Berets I also have one of our sons was a Green Beret for 28 years what great units they are and boy do those songs bring back memories from that. Of time and he went on to serve a long Tour of Duty in a lot of battles thank you for that great music for an old man
