I just wanted to take a moment today to send out all my love and healing condolences to all of the members of Lotus, as well as to their family members on the loss of Chuck Morris and his son Charley.

I just found out about their passing less than an hour ago when my sister, Jenn mentioned it to me, only because she thought that I knew of you guys.

That's because I too also play in a jam band, Dog Beaver, that's been together for 34 years, since 2/5/89, in the San Francisco Bay Area of California.

Having lost a Dog Beaver bandmate, our guitarist & vocalist Mike Wittwer to a heart attack back in 2001, we know and feel what you all are going through at this very sad time.

The feelings of grief and sorrow that you all are going through right now I'm sure is quite devastating & overwhelming, and I'm sending you all sooo many virtual hugs, along with our love, support & healing energies, and will be listening to this live performance in Philadelphia for the next 2 hours and 45 minutes while I work in my storage spaces trying to clear out things that I don't need anymore, and I am also looking at all of my Dog Beaver band gear in storage.

I play synthesizers (Juno 6, String Ensemble, Liberation, M-10, etc) and also play percussion (2 LP congas) bass (Precision) guitar (Fretlight & Strat) and sing lead vocals in Dog Beaver, which has now been on a long nearly 5 year hiatus since 2019.

We will perform again at some point in the future, as I'm sure you all will too.

The similarities in our musical style is so uncanilly similar... we are a jam band that makes up everything we play on the spot, on the fly, with out a safety net... pure, free-form, improvisational electronica space music (Grateful Dead>Pink Floyd>John ColtraneJohn Cage).

Rest in peace, love, & music, Chuck & Charley

Lotus... please do carry on with your legacy, & awesome musical creations.
