Wanted to mention something about one of the monitoring devices. Vet put a Libre2 monitoring device on our cat. I became obsessive with checking it as he was newly diagnosed. Ended up absolutely hating it because of LOTS of error messages, including hours at a time when it would not allow counts to show. As I explored on google the reviews it appears that about half the sensors fail … and they are very expensive. We are in the US and the initial one with meter was $380 and each sensor was $150. A high price to pay with such a high failure rate. Vet put the second sensor on after first one failed at no cost. They are only good for two weeks and the second one failed at 4 days. We did not have another one put on.
