How To Transfer iPhone Photos & Videos To USB Flash Drive Without Computer

This is the first instructional video I found to transfer pictures from my phone to a USB using the Data Cable that is easy to follow. My only problem is in files my USB is not showing up. I can only assume the USB that I have is not a good one.

There is the exact same thing you can use SD cards especially if you happen to have some large SD cards laying around that you use in your camcorder or DSLR camera. I have one that handles regular SD as well as micro and also has the charge pass through I got on Amazon

This is exactly what I was looking for. Explained in a way that's understandable. My phone is so full it's giving me issues and I don't want to lose my pictures. If its full, does that mean I won't be able to create a new folder with some pics on it? I realize I will have to do this like 10 at a time. I'm just afraid of losing my pics.

This method did not work with my iPhone 11. It worked on the iPad Pro and an iPhone SE. Please reply to this if you know why the iPhone 11 Files app could not see the USB drive. Thanks!

Have to make sure you are transferring full size photos though as the iPhone stores reduced quality/size photos locally on the iPhone unless the photos app is set to keep originals locally on the phone. Otherwise you are copying low quality images to the USB drive.

Ah but what if you have iCloud enabled. Aren’t the photos stored on the phone only downgraded images to save storage space?
Would you need to select option download and keep originals within iCloud setting on an iPhone?
I’m thinking of freeing up storage space on my phone
