I Used Optimal Binds For 1 MONTH (WASQ)

I put the binds at the end of the video, however I DON'T recommend you copy them. There's a tonne of optimising I still need to do for non build / edit buttons.

I use v to edit, which is pressed by my index, along with c for a floor, and x for a cone. I been using this for a while and I still cant get a double or triple edit down.

I might be misunderstanding but it seems like you are using edit on release because i am not really seeing the advantage of right click to select edits, if you are using double edit binds you can continue holding left click after confirming the edit anyways which seems to be the advantage you are proposing so that would be completely backwards and you should just switch to double edit binds let me know if i am missing something

edit: yes i am missing that although you can already hold down to place after your edit this allows you to hold down before and after

I have pretty weird binds (according to my friends), they are wasd for movement, q for wall, e for ramp, r for floor, caps for cone, Tab for pickaxe ( my reload button is z). Should I change it? I'm pretty comfortable with these binds.
I wanted to keep floor as left alt because my thumb can reach from spacebar to there.
Please help me or give me some tips

i just use left shit to edit.. lol, sometimes i change it to right mouse button and make left shift aim, since i usually play up close and avoid far away anyways

so just for the first major thing, on pc at least, you can bind 2 keys to one function like editing. i found (if you dont wanna switch of wasd) you can bind it to your normal key and the bind the second one to something like v or b next to space, common for jumping too making it easy for jumping edits as well.

OOOOR instead of using wasq u can edit with a mous button, wich is a billion time easier

I just tried them out for 2 hours and I am vomiting, I look like a default from season 1 and cant even walk straight

My keybinds aren’t really the best but what I did to fix the problem of not being to move right because of f being the edit button is changing the edit button to left shift. It kinda works but it makes other problems along the way

I really cba to switch to it so i have edit on one mb, wall on the other, floor on right alt, shotgun on scroll wheel up, obviously scroll wheel reset down, then where my pinky rests as stairs, (cant remember what letter it is bc i use U as W asw), and then the letter above and slightly to the left as my cone button, as you rarely place a cone and a ramp at the same time normally a cone then floor then ramp, these binds are great and you can still use 4 keys for movement, only issue is now one of my mb is broken from editing so much ffs 😭

using the pinky to build makes my hand have a fucking spasm with wasq so I'm running wasq movement edit d confirm with b ramp v floor r cone wall on mouse pickaxe on e shotgun on f and all other weapon/ conmsumable keys on 345x

I use QERcapslock for all builds, shift for sprint and edit button on side of mouse, X for pickup.
Drastic change in my speed. Find what works for you and tweak it over time if you need, is what i found.
