How much the ticket of the Ferry?

I have the idea to spend a day in Como Lake in June on my own as a day trip from Milan. Is Varenna, Bellaggio and Menaggio doable in a day? I heard these are the cutest spots and also very small towns which will give me the chance to explore them all. Thanks in advance! :)

Absolutely stunning photography and wonderful narration. Well done! I've never even thought about Lake Como. Day trip is not enough for me. I need 2 or 3 nights there to veg and soak up the atmosphere.

Varenna is total tourist hell. The once so beautiful place has become a rip off, everything is overpriced and overcrowded. Completely overwhelmed by the onslaught of tourists, every second house is a "restaurant" in which people are not treated in a friendly manner, but only annoyed. No sign of genuine hospitality - just a rip-off. Worst of all is the "Albergo del Sole" - what happened to us is simply unbelievable: Not only did we have to wait over an hour and a half for our ordered food before we surrendered and then canceled everything - we were also totally harassed for it stupid, unfriendly service forces with "F** You" and "Vaffanculo" insulted the worst. A stupid female service force completed the idiot team. Conclusion: never again Varenna.

Hey there! I hv 6 hrs to spend in these two places. I too plan to take the ferry to Bellagio immediately after I arrive at Veranna around 1.30pm. A quick stop to bellagio and then head back to veranna spend more time there and hv some dinner and catch the 7.25pm train back to Milan. I Hv 3 questions.
1. Is 6 hrs doable?
Garden and steps up alley , gelato/drinks in Bellagio.
Villa cipressi/monestero and dinner in Veranna.
2. Where do I get the Villa garden entrance tickets?
3. Where do I get the return ferry ticket from Veranna to Bellagio and back to Varenna?
